hey guys i am about to buy a biker scout suit i was wondering what was a good helmet to have with these suits.. i found a don post helmet for 90$ are the don post biker scout helmets any good.?
 
Unless you are talking about one of the 25 DP DLX Scout helmets, it would be a deal and worth it. For the regular version it is expensive and the helmet requires a lot of work to make it look good and keep from warping out of shape. Would definitely go for a fiberglass helmet myself... and MLC comes to mind. Altmanns also did a very acceptable Scout helmet, as well as KS - though... irrc, these are made in ABS plastic!?

Surely more will chime in.

The DP helmet is basically the same as the rubies version although i'm told slightly better vinyl i know lots of people troop with them and they can look ok with some work.
I doubt it's a delux one NHM unless the seller is insane :lol
The Altmanns is a great helmet but they go for a high price,if you purchase a KS helmet i recommend you buy it prebuilt if you aren't experienced with building kits they are pretty difficult to build.
The MLC is a real nice choice you will have to paint it up yourself etc though unless you buy one that someone has already done :thumbsup
 
If you go the MLC route I would recommend the V3.

Also... didn't SgtFang hint at offering some Scout helmets in the future?
 
If I remember Sarge mentioned something about the DP Deluxe scout helmet? or was that the Tie? So many projects, how do you do it Sarge? :lol
 
Mardon does awesome stuff! As I have a few of his helmets, and can vouch for the high quality of his work. I maybe placing a order for several more Scout helmets in the not too distant future!!
 
Yep, Mardon's helmets are absolutely top class. One of my biggest regrets is that I couldn't afford to buy that last scout helmet you had, Cookie Monsta. :unsure
