Just the back of the head to sort out now with the dreds holes and the open mouth sculpt to do.

Everything else now is ready to mold.

Thing to know when looking at the sculpt is some of the detail looks pretty sharp and deep but I do this to compensate for when the mold looses the detail a little.

Thanks again for looking all comments & crits welcome
Hopefully have the last update in the next couple of days with the open mouth option and possibly if I pull my finger out some extra bits and bobs for the costume :D

The details looking good.Very cool to know that there's gonna be a variety of styles of the Wolf pred head out there. :D

Well been slow again and this keeps taking longer and longer to finish mostly due to the time of year with lots going on.

Here's a basic idea of the open mouth option the sculpt will have
just need to sculpt in the detail and find the best way to blend in with the head sculpt and should be good to mold it all for next week.

never gonna make the deadline for the film release but what the hell.

the skin texture on this is what really impresses me, also the fact your thinkng ahead about the detail the stone molding loses...Maybe you might want to think of molding in firbreglass or urethane and doing a silicone version...Harder to paint I know but this would kick ass as a silicone piece.

Absolutely LOVE the detail on this. And those deep striations to compensate for detail loss in the mold, I actually think those also serve to make him look older and more battle worn. Can't wait to see this one all finished up.

well I've reached the point where I'm happy.
There's no more reference to work from at least in the UK that is as we dont yet have the Book released so I'm wrapping things up.

here's the open and closed mouth versions all ready for molding.

Hopefully take some pics of the molding process just depends how much of a mess I get in
and then it will be the finshed paint up hopefully if all goes well.

Thanks for the comments everyone and keep em coming.

Truly brilliant and really dominating in size.
Makes me sick how talented everybody is.

Any chance of showing how you do the actual moulding and casting. I'm OK at sculpting but a novice when it comes to making moulds, especially on pieces with irregular surfaces and undercuts.
If not, can you suggest some good reference material.

Cheers

Absolutely an amazing job on your Wolf! The detail is great and the fact you show a closed an open mouth version is very cool. Can't wait to see one of these fully finished and painted.

Been a while getting around to mold this thing.

I should have got it done and finished by January but I've been far to bust with Freddy orders

I molded the main head last week and I've took a few pulls allready which are fantastic  , it really turned out to be a nice mold and has all the detail in there.

The only bad thing is how big and heavy the thing is o_O proper back buster

here's a few pictures taken since the last update.
