HI Guys

I did mention a few weeks back that I had started a Wolf but I ditched my first efforts as the foam bust I made was too big So Yesterday I started from scratch on a new Armature and Now I have to stop cause I've got Blisters on me Fingers from pushing clay for the last 2 days o_O

His a Big Bad Wolf
So far I've spent around 12 hours and 14lbs of clay on him

Just need to build the back of the head out and the crown and then I can start finalising the shape and start detailing him

I must admit this Pred is Very cool for me too do as I'm a huge Freddy Krueger Fan and do a lot of Freddy sculpt work so this Pred with his burns is great

this was my first attempt which I scrapped o_O

Please let me know what you think so far

Looking good the only thing I could suggest is that you get the whole shape of the head done before going into the detail work, it was something I was "taught/told" and trust me if you do that everything will work out better for you later.

I know there's a lot of Wolf going on at the moment but I cant help myself

here's some progress from today
I've ran out of clay now so need to place an order monday morning o_O

I'm pretty pleased with the shape now maybe just a little tweek on the back of the head

I've thrown a picture of the wolf next to my Elder to show the size of him

the teeth are only in for reference now they wont be part of sculpt.

there's no detail in there yet I just throw the clay on and draw the lines in for a guide.

Nice to see some sculpting going on in the lair.

seems between the 3 of us that are sculpting WOLF ( well the 3 that are willing to post progress info and sizes etc ) we will hopefully be able to bounce of each other and get results were all happy with.

good luck, ill be checking up on ya progress daily o_O

(posted this in the other wolf thred also )

Lee.

I'll post some pics up later.

I've not been up to much with this but I've made a few decitions with which way to go so, he will be having a closed mouth and open. :) I think

Plan is to sculpt the lower jaw seperatley and have an open version and a closed.

I love the open mouth version but Looking through the lair closed mouth masks look more natural as a costume peice . Also my part one has an ope mouth so this will be something new to do.

I've been wanting to get in to sculpting for a while and this is an example of why i want to learn this art , what type of clay are you using ?
keep up the good work!

Big changes

As I said the plan is now to sculpt the mouth closed and then cut off the lower jaws and the resculpt open jaws too :D

I think it might all go **** up but I'll give it ago anyway :)

here's where I am after a weeks wait for clay and a big blister :p
