Best Trek Uniforms Source Wrath of Khan Style

Well... someone contact me who owns an original, so hopefully I'll have that to copy. This will save a lot of tweaking as well as guesswork on the fabric. Stay tuned...

Kind regards,
Indy

Like I said, I can provide pictures about your specific questions, but no way I am sending this out.

You know, on a thread like this, I really miss Phase Pistol. He would always post the best reference pictures.

Hey GM, as long as you provide good photographs from all possible angles etc.....inside and out and an actual paint chip reference, I don't see why it couldn't be replicated nicely by Magnoli!!

I agree that this might present a little irreplaceable item problem. My suggestion, why doesn't GM take the outfit to a bespoke tailor and bring a camera. Let the tailor take the measurements and perhaps do a tracing or two of the specific pieces, and ask if he/she would allow the use of their dummy to drape the pieces.

Just a thought - KK2

Hi folks. I have been studying the WOK suit for quite some time, and have some definite thoughts about how it should be made. :lol

Also I'm a moderator over at the Starfleet 1701st forum

...which has a great deal of communal expertise on all types of Star Trek costuming (think 501st but for Star Trek).

Indy, I think it's great that you're interested in tackling this project, please see my PM regarding it.

It's great to see some of you "all-stars" involved on this project. I'm sitting back and watching with great interest the results these efforts produce. :cool

I am currently speaking with Indy about sending him my screen used jacket from TWOK -TSFS so he can have a real jacket to base his work off of... I'm just having commitment issues because I am VERY, VERY afraid of my jacket getting lost in transit and me never having it again... it is the piece I had to work hardest to aquire in my collection and the single most expensive item I have ever purchased...

garver,

It may be best and safest to use a FedEx custom shipment process with an insured value of 1.5 times the jacket price. In addition, I would seal the jacket itself inside a waterproof vacuum sealed bag within whatever container you use.

There is also the alternative of buying a plane ticket for you or Magnoli......

This would be the methos that would please me most, but I have no passport, and due to some recent medical issues I doubt I'd be allowed to fly anyways!

I'll be mulling this over and figure something out soon.

Well, if it helps your decision any, I sent Indy my Turnbull and Asser tie for him to replicate, and it's been nothing but a real pleasure!

this is awesome! I was going to get a twok jacket by gale and modify it, but this is much better. I have twok syle pants used in a voy ep that i can take pics and measurements of if that will help, though I dont think the pants are a big concern at the moment.

pm sent to Indy Magnoli
