Best Non-Pistol/Rifle Based & NON-Trek Projectile or Beam Weapons

We used to play with carbide (calcium carbide) a lot when I was a kid. It makes acetylene gas which is fun for all sorts of things - jets of flame or fill a balloon with it and ignite from a distance and once made a submarine that used it to propel forward and surface after diving.

do you know how the gun fires?

Info: it uses a kind of rock, i dont know what ist's called but, u mix it with water & it makes a blue flame when it hits a glow plug in the gun. practicly its the same as the Logans Run DS (deep sleep) Gun

I love that gun and bought one from a member years ago.

I can't seem to find any pictures, but I know the Hydra in the Captain America movie had some cool stuff.

Although this didn't get a lot of screen time, there's also the Foosh rifle from The 6th Day.

A couple of favourites..

Liberator blaster from Blakes 7.

Stun gun from Space 1999.

Just discovered this thread and I can't believe it wasn't until page 4 that someone posted the Space 1999 laser. :)
I remember making one as a kid...err out of Sticklebricks. I think Lego was the preferred building block for most kids but I had Sticklebricks (I think thats what they were called)

How about this generic sub-machine gun from the old Giant Robot series.

And while not a gun exactly, there's the good 'ol Force Lance from Andromeda.

As mentioned on an earlier post, it took 4 pages to bring up the Space:1999 laser. I thought I'd include these three for consideration as well.
