Best Non-Pistol/Rifle Based & NON-Trek Projectile or Beam Weapons

I don't have any pictures buuut the small "concealable" pistol called the Compact Laser Deluxe (sorry, no picture) that Jack Harkness uses in the first series of Doctor Who is a great piece as is his Sonic Blaster AKA the Squareness Gun aaaand I didn't see it listed and hopefully it counts but the Tesla gun from Warehouse 13 is a slick little thing I really rather like.

My favorites, will see what they give me on MIB3 to do.

Thanks for dropping into my thread, Rick - it's an honor! Did you by any chance make the MIB weapon I posted on the previous page?

MIB III????? :eek When is that set to go into production? I know you'll be under NDA and won't be able to share any spy shots, but I would love to see something new and original (unlike the sorry plot of the sequel :lol).

And did you make all the weapons in Riddick, or just the Necro blasters? Who was the conceptual artist you collaborated with to create them, if it's ok to disclose?

Thanks!

Dan

P.S. Straker - your contributions rock! I love the look of the Dr. Who gun - please post photos or screen shots if you do come across any. And it's great to see a steampunk design make it into a show - I don't watch Warehouse 13, but now maybe I should start!

Thank you for the kind words , I wish I had gotten better pictures of her, maybe I'll get the chance to press another one some time. I'm happy you liked the thread, I'm a little disappointed that the view count is not higher and I find it hard to believe there are people out there that don't watch the Doctor , that makes me sad.

Seconded on BOTH!!!

I used to own this years ago, and found this photo on the current owners web site. This is from the cartoon turned movie Masters of the Universe. This weapon is BIG, and heavy. A lot of metal and resin, and a compartment to hold the electronics, and batteries. When I bought it wasn't functioning, and I wasn't real keen in keeping it around mostly because of weight, and size. Oh yeah I also owned one of the back ground cannons, now that was big also. A truck mount sized cannon.

Made edit, because I found an other photo.

Actually It says "Best NON-PISTOL / RIFLE & non-trek projectile or beam weapons"...... So technically your wrong too. I think that was a PISTOL I showed so butt kick away....I'm putting on my size 12s so I can return in kind. :love

Tymer, you're really asking for a butt-kickin! :lol FYI, the props can be EITHER projectile-firing OR beam weapons - just NON-TREK. Dan

IMFDB is some times wrong. Two of the guns pictured on it's BSG page are built on Colt Pythons, and unless I'm mistaken, those are Matsuo kits. As far as I know, he's the only person to ever use the colt inside of a BSG kit.

Hey, ThatGuy - EXCELLENT work on that BSG TOS colonial blaster! Did you kit-bash it from original parts or paint up a really sharp casting? I know there were some licensed replicas a few years back, but the licensee disappeared. This wouldn't be one of those, would it? Or did I misunderstand and is that your website and prop collection, and that's just an acquired replica?

SkeletonMan - awesome, awesome stuff! :) Yeah, like HALO, Warhammer 40K has some seriously cool & original hardware! Since HALO is still hopefully going to be made into a movie, and technically speaking, they did produce some really high-end promotional live-actor teasers with physical props, then I'd also have to include my beloved Brute Spiker:

I've arrived! I am now an RPF source!!

Good thing I cleaned my nails before that pic. :lol:lol:lol

The Hidden had a sequel The Hidden 2 :unsure
The prop was as much a disappointment as the film.

BTW, the Hawk Blaster was not the only one used on Buck Rogers.

This was the earlier style used. (This SU is from my modest collection)

They also had the rifle:

...and a toy of the rifle. I have one of these I am restoring:

Here is a real rarity. It is Commander Krill's blaster from The Last Starfighter. It is a working flashgun but was never fired in the final version of the film:

As far as many of the Farscape blasters go, I have never seen so many Supersoakers in one place except Toys R Us.:lol:lol:lol

Cool photo, never noticed it in the movie, it looks like a simplified version of Centauri's blaster. One question, how do you fire it?

David.

I have never seen a good shot of Centauri's blaster. The Xandoxan Assassin blaster was a much larger, fancier version of Krill's weapon.

Centauri's blaster looks small in the film. It would be nice to see it show up like the Blade Runner Blaster did in 2007.

BTW the blaster uses a thumb trigger. It is a small button where the white plastic sits on the back.

Wasn't it the original Flash Gordon where they had lasers that were some kind of cylinder mounted on a ring?
IIRC, they sat across your hand like a knuckle duster...

Sorry! You are correct, I was thinking of the Assassin's blaster, but for some reason I put Centauri in it's place. Centauri's blaster reminded me of brass knuckles.

Thanks for the info on the trigger.

David.

Ok, here are a couple from Firefly!

Jubal Early's pistol:
