Hi there all im a noob so requiring some help and info i would like to make a zombie mask to wear at a party i would like it to have the neck as well and make it out of something i could wear time and time again would latex be best to make the mask out of and how do you make it look like rotting flesh or do i need some kind of fx silicone etc thank you

Someone might have some different advice for you, but as far as a zombie goes, I think makeup is the best bet.

The best zombie "masks" I've seen are usually makeup. They're more easily obtained locally during Halloween--but are available from online retailers year round. You won't be able to wear them more than once, since each time you'll have to go through applying the makeup and all, but the results are really great and realistic. Just my two cents.

hi there thank you very much for the help and info much appreciated and very helpful will stick with latex and try the sock thanks

One thing I particularly like is to paint your face in a few layers of liquid latex (check for allergies first!).. then once dry, pull parts of it away from your face and cut or tear to create what looks like popped/open abcesses on your skin. You can also experiment with laying single-ply tissue paper into the latex before it dries, to get wrinkles and hanging bits of flesh.

Once you've got the base structure down, go to town with the makeup to enhance and embellish for desired effect.

brilliant ill try that thanks for the help and advice cheers
