Battlestar Galactica

I've gotten a few more squadron insignia drawn over the past few months, all variations of the canon ones, plus a few additional patches. A few days ago I redid my nameplates from scratch with an accurate font now and much improved shape. This is only the Viper Mk II one, I'll do the Mk VII nameplate later. I also have the radiation symbol in progress right now too. With the nameplates, I got carried away and before I knew it, I had more then eighteen of them done! I posted one in larger scale, though I did the originals a whole heck of a lot bigger. The ensemble is in smaller scale to make them all easier to see.

Yeah, it is. I started it and I'm going to be changing up some of the interpretation (it's a simplified schematic) to set it more apart from the Mk II.

That's odd, I guess the transfer papers from the "Pegasus"/"Resurrection Ship" storyline didn't get transfered over to this post. I can say for certain that this is 99.9% to 100% accurate (including the misspelling on the name "Caine") to the screen used paper prop, as I based it off the paper prop picture shown at the auction:

Special Thanks to PhoenixVader for the signatures of Helena Cain and William Adama.
I was wondering what font did you use and what size did you use?

I'll list some of the words so you know which text I'm refering to, the fonts, and their sizes:

Personal Transfers: Arial Black, Regular, 20 point.
Pertaining to...: Bookman Old Style, Regular, 11.1 point
Effective Immediately...: Times New Roman, Bold for the first two words, Regular for the rest, bold text: 9.64 point, regular text: 8.83 point.
Everything else is Courier New, bold and regular, at sizes between 8.86 (i.e the text under the signatures) to bigger (I don't know the size of the crew name texts because I did that first in a separate file that was unsaved (I copied the image after creating it and then posted it on top of the Colonial Phoenix).

Didn't read through all the pages. But did note the start date of the thread and saw it was way after I posted my Ambrosia label file. So, I've updated it based on some newer files I have post-Propworx auctions. Here's the real deal.

Here's a jpeg preview of the labels.

And a link to download an eps vector file at 100% sizing. You'll need to find a printer that can print on gold foil paper for accuracy and a Meagher's Triple Sec bottle.

I know replicas of the ID cards have been posted by other people on the list. I made these a year ago or so, but just joined the RPF so I thought I'd share them anyway. Mine are a little bit different, so I hope they'll be appreciated anyway. :) These are all scaled to be as close as possible to the screen used props, but also fit commonly available lamination pouches.

I've made vector replicas of all twelve of the the Colony ID cards. (I did swap the UPC code... if I remember correctly, this is the UPC for a mini bottle of Wild Turkey Whiskey :) )

Here's a sample of the ones I made:

Also a replica of the front and back of the Media and Visitor cards. I did two different ID numbers on the Visitor cards to allow for a couple to have different numbers. You just have to print one side, then rotate/flip the paper to print the back side. Print on pale yellow card stock.

Thanks! Hardscrabble Farm doesn't quite do BSG yet.... when I went to post the files, I couldn't figure out how to upload the .pdf files to the RPF. So I threw them on my site. I am debating a Costuming/Cosplay section for the site...and maybe to move my costume build albums off Facebook and onto a Blog on my site.

We also don't costume BSG yet...we have double tanks, but that's about it. I am putting together a Dieselpunk Airship Galactica uniform...even had custom bullion ASG patches made. :cool

I'm also having fun doing Gears of War inspired paperwork, so I might start posting that stuff on the website too.

Does anyone have printable files for paper cubits? I used to have 100, 200, and 500 cubit note files, but I can't find them anymore, and any hosted files around here are long dead.

there never were free printable paper cubits on the forum. one member sold them in the junkyard but i cant remember who it was. sorry. maybe someone else knows his name and can post it.
