Battlestar Galactica 2003 scratch build

No way

I for one will never be able to build something like this so I have to settle for living vicariously through someone else doing it

Plus it is cool to watch the progression and see it unfold as well as pick up ideas on the way
Well said Analyzer. When one becomes addicted to the design, art and skill of certain modeler’s, that build with the dialog does not get old.

You guys are way too nice, I’m certainly not breaking any ground here. I think though if I’d man up and learn how to use the frackin printer this train wreck would look a lot better lol

Did a little masking today and started priming I’ve still got a lot of work to do on the right flight pod but I’m getting close. I’m gonna have to try out several painting methods and see what works best, on some scrap mock up stuff because I sure don’t wanna screw this up now now

No way, man.
This is real modeling.
You took on a monster and kicked it's ass old school.

Well I ran low on car parts and money for more so I did a little bit of work in the basement. Got the base coat airbrushed on and the port flight pod attached

I did a little panel coloring today with various shades of silver gunmetal gray and what have you but aside doing the red striping which will be next it seems like I should like lightly overspray everything to make it blend a little better? Any suggestions?

She’s looking brilliant Ross !..., and as far as ‘blending’ it all together, maybe a little (light) misting coat of the original base colour you used ?
It’s been an amazing ‘journey’ for this build mate (still a little to go), but it’s also been very, very informative & enjoyable !:D

Dude...

That looks amazing. Wow

Super paint job. I know you where dreading it somewhat. You defenately nailed it. Some blending sounds like a good idea, tho I have to say I'm amazed at that paint job.

Great to see you're still working on this thing.

Thank you for sharing.
