Frak'n amazing! That pod looks stunning.

Will the mosaic paneling extend a bit beyond the ribs to give the look of them setting atop the ribs? Mobius got this detail so wrong with the panels butting up against the ribs.

Ehh, a little bit I suppose. I shaved the ribs where the plates will be a put down a base for them to sit on. I think it’ll be good

Didn’t get much done tonight, cut some armor plates and decided it was again time to mock up and check it over. The rear of the recesses need to be reshaped to match the pod. Pain in the azz but won’t be as bad as it was relocating the pod supports. It’s really starting to look like BSG 75

Another light progress evening. Got the entry and exit arches framed and a couple of the rear side panels on

Got quite a bit done on the stern the past few days. Still jumping around so it doesn’t get tedious
I framed up the upper and sides of the tail section but I’m not sure I’m happy with the way I did it. May have to take it off and redo it

Not sure where I’m going to get the 17th century canon barrels, or the tiger tank 88 mm gun barrel but I’ll figure something out lol

A bit more of the aft section progress. I decided to forgo trying to make the tube things look like the cannons that are on the mobius kit so I faked it a little but I’m happy with it

Upper tail section is pretty much done just have to select strategic places for fiber optics. The side panels should be a snap. Gonna start on the transom pretty soon and then the engine pods

Second effort, much better. Couldn’t figure out what to do with the impulse engines so I took some creative liberty. Gun port windows from a Falcon model…it works

Started on the port lower engine today. Wasn’t too tough but these armor plates are murder. 5mm blue flickers will light the four main engines
