I can’t believe I put nearly six hours into the lower tail section but here it is. I fudged a lot just sticking stuff on there but again I’m not much for accuracy just more of the spirit of the thing

OK, so I know I screwed up on the side panels above the flight pod supports I don’t know what I did but I wasn’t gonna rip it apart and redo it so this is what I came up with and that’s just the way it is

Not too much progress the past couple of days but inching towards it. I had to burn some vacation time so I’m taking Thursday and Friday off so by Sunday hopefully I’ll be able to show you guys something lol

Well I appreciate the sentiment BUT, I’m still on the relatively easy stuff. I just hope I don’t botch the paint job

Some outer panels went on today although on the front part of the hull where you have those two tapers meet the front section I screwed up and it’s about a half inch shorter than what it should be to scale but, oh well

Another thing I was just now thinking about, I’m going to build a starboard side flight deck as the museum as it was in the show. But since they took all the vipers out of there and started using them again it’s going to be relatively empty, except for if I can find a 1/2000 or so scale millennium falcon on Shapeways lol

I mean, Star Wars was a long time ago, right? Who is to say it wasn’t 150,000 years ago. In a galaxy far far away, right? So who’s to say that the 12 colonies weren’t just a few Galactica jumps, or parsecs away from the outer rim territory?

Thanks brother! I gotta say though of the hundreds of models I’ve built this is the biggest challenge I’ve ever had. So tell me, what do you think if I park a near correct scale millennium falcon and that Starbord flight pod?
