Battlestar Galactica 2003 scratch build

All of the latest pictures have great focus except the last one showing the rear view of the head, it is fuzzy. Might be due to the lighting as the subject is mostly in shadow.

How weird is that? On my iPhone they’re blurred all to hell, then I try a good close up and it blurry on your end…what the frack?!

Due to lack of sufficient photos I decided to freelance some greeblies but I think it’ll be fine

Now www.space.com has a blurb on the new Hero Collector Galactica book.

Something else of note: www.phys.org has an article entitled SHAPE-SHIFTING MATERIALS WITH INFINITE POSSIBILITIES.

The word for today? Totimorphs.
Earlier last week there was a 3D printed building panel article on how sneaker designs could help buildings resist impacts.

The reason I mention that here is that perhaps large articulated toys could resist impact damage. Just the thing for kids who pull at NuGalactica’s arms too hard.

Thanks for the link, now I just have to figure out how to go there and have it display something. I’ll probably have to do it on the laptop instead of my phone

I hope these pictures are coming out sharper from where you guys are seeing them because on my phone they’re fuzzy as hell

The attachment's "thumbnail" whatever they are called are fuzzy. I see this with a lot of pictures on the RPF when they are added as attachments instead of in line. I guess the way they are scaled down does that. However, if you click the thumbnail to open the picture in full size mode they are very sharp and crisp

When you add the pictures, there is an option on it to insert full image or insert thumbnail

The Thumbnail's seem to get fuzzy when the pictures are too large for them to handle I guess

Of course the benefit of adding as thumbnails is it is easier to see all of the pics at once and reduces load time vs inserting them at full size

Although I tend to insert at full size, but try to at least limit the number of pictures added to a given post

Not really sure what people prefer

for example, when creating a reply and you add the picture using the attach files or other method, you see the thumbnail is fuzzy
Capture.PNG

Not that when you post it and someone clicks the thumbnail to see the full image, the resolution will be crisp just like the original

as an alternative, if you use the insert option to insert as a full Image

you get this...
(in this case a friend of mine with Iggy. Just happened one of the more interesting pics to be at the top of my list when I went to the pictures folder)

Well crap, it’s always something…

coming right along but it’s definitely more work than I thought. By the way, I never plan things like this…I just start measuring, cutting and gluing **** together

Spend quite a few hours this weekend building the intermediate section of the head assembly. Turned out well. Seems like I’m making a lot of trips to the hobby shop for more Evergreen but it’s looking like it’ll be well worth it.

Ok, so I saw the South African 3ft long resin kit, very impressive but now I’ve determined that I’m gonna have to hyper greeblie this thing
Has anyone got any suggestions on kits to bash for optimum usage of parts?

Thanks fellas

Btw, in a second effort I did find some cool stuff on eBay for greeblies but I suspect it won’t be enough so I’m still open to suggestions
