Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

yea, wonder woman should have a little more mass to her. but the moment she was cast for her, we knew theres only so much a person can gain to their body. so I'd say it looks good given the casting. I would prefer a "thicker" or "bulkier" girl but it will have to do. she does look the part well otherwise, and given the slight supernatural element I suppose all bets can be off

my 2 ¢: I like Ben being cast as Batman as I said couple of months ago, it's an interesting choice. BUT: I haven't seen him speaking as Batman or acting as Bruce. As for the statement of others here, I respect them (Ben being the definite Batman look wise), but I'll have to ask objectively: Is he? Wasn't this also stated when Christian donned the caped crusader? Is there a definite Batman? Or is he also a ideal, that fluctuates in the mind of the perceiving person as of who Batman is for them? Like Superman?

Well, I'm not very impressed with the trailer… I gotta see more. I know, I know, it's a teaser. (Or maybe, I saw this similar scene too many times in Supes/Bat crossovers)

Wonder Woman: Well, if that pic is official, costume wise it's well executed, a nice mix of New 52 and the Classic, except for the heels and the slightly too muted colors. Raised flat heels? I rather like the flat heels, makes more sense. Gal might be an ok choice.

Superman: well, I agree that it's so on the wrong side that his moral code is out of the window. What could you expect from Zack "the Hack"? Oh well, tastes changes…

It's a bit disturbung to me, that Supes and Wondie are just ok choices for me… not great choices, but I can't explain why… anyone got that feeling too?

LOL, that's actually NOT too funny; I really like the thicker, amazonian version.

Me too, and the colorized is better but the colours are to strong, the color must be the same like the colors from superman outfit, and the belt over the body looks crap. Gal Gadot is pretty but somehow her face is not perfcet for WW, maybe I'm wrong and it looks only in this position.

EDIT
For me the Outfit from WW should looks so but the color a little more darker, or the other new outfit with blue pants.

So what I meant about the Batman Superman thing in comparison to Avengers (I know you're not mind readers and I was one-sided on the accusation of VS. coverage) is that I know the Avengers had their differences and they had grudges, but the film was not put into focus prominently as a battle of the heroes, but about a film of working together as a team for the greater good.

The emphasis DC and Snyder & Co. are all about this VS. thing, that the focus is conflict between heroes and not as much emphasis on building a team or any concept of working together. That's the only part that has been bugging me about how they seem to be approaching this.

WW action shot actually looking quite formidable:

... oh wait. NM.

Actually looking at that photoshop greatly changed the type of person she appears to be. That bulkier one really invokes a real powerful, grace, stature and beauty vibe. It also shows that she has fought and physically looks the part of a warrior who has earned the right to wear those fatigues. She looks like more of a role model.

The way she looks (as the photo was revealed by WB) is that she appears to be like an up and comer, but not ready to be alongside the level of which Batman and Superman would be at, which is nuts because we're talking the great Amazonian warrior princess whose power are that like Superman's. She just looks weak and not the embodiment of Wonder Woman.

The outfit is definitely a vast improvement over the CW series that got scrapped (thankfully).

Agreed. She needs to put on more pounds...

You do realize I posted a picture of Sif, not WW, right?

I agree that the present WW doesn't look "battle-hardened." They should have gone with someone with a better frame - (e.g. wider shoulders and hips). Even bulking up at the gym can only do so much.

I think that the girl on the right still has better looking muscle structure. Her shoulders are rounder. Her quads are clearly developed more as well. It's not a matter of how much shorter someone is or how much heavier she is. It's how her musculature looks. Damn, maybe I'm just mad cuz' I've seen Hercules female sidekick and I was like :love

That's because she's an actual athlete (Check out her in action: http://tv.esquire.com/videos/71307-kacy-catanzaro-at-the-american-ninja-warrior-2014-dallas-finals) :lol My point was simply that thin does not necessarily equal frail or weak.

The glowing batsuit eyes really make for a long-needed, refreshingly original take on Batman.

I do like Gal Gadot but Jaimie Alexander would have been ideal for the role. Gal has a pointed, delicat jaw which is not warrior-like at all. In contrast, Jaimie has a strong jaw. I think that's an important difference.

I can understand why Jaimie's work with Marvel could make her a risky venture for DC. (i.e. a "supporting" Marvel character as a headliner for DC risks harming their image ...)
But then Marvel wasn't afraid of casting Chris Evans (who played the Human Torch for the awful FF film) for Captain America.
Marvel's confidence in their vision repeatedly pays off.
DC really missed an opportunity by not at least considering Jaimie.

I guess my sarcasm still doesn't translate well after posting a pic of the Iron Monger. I was making another (misfired) joke.

Oh haha sorry the pic of iron monger didn't show up. Just discovered this thread so I thought I'd pop in. I actually like Ben Affleck as batman, I think what I'm more confused about is why they decided to start batman off being old, this is still early in Supermans career yet, so it seems a bit odd. Don't get me wrong, I love me some old batman The Dark Knight Returns is my favorite graphic novel and I love the new batsuit and armored batsuit and how true they are to Frank Millers vision. Just seems odd as its his first appearance.

I've always been a huge fan of the white eyes in the comics and have always hoped they would make it to the screen, but I have yet to see it done in a way i would like. In TDK and even Batman forever I did not like it at all. Having them as glowing lenses, IMHO just doesn't translate well to the big screen. It always ends up making Batman look bug-eyed to me, and seems to be a detraction rather than an enhancement.

It needs to be something more subtle. Maybe do it as contact lenses(or CGI) or something, just white eyes. Just erase the pupil, maybe like Storm when she uses her powers. I think this would give way to more emotion from the eyes instead of looking googly-eyed. Maybe have the actor squint a little. And no glow, just let the light be from fill light, giving it that subtle yet distinct look that would make villians do a little bit of a double-take. "Wait, did he not have any eyeballs? Did I just see what I thought I saw?"

I meant to quote the image posted of the PhotoShop and original Gadot photo. That's what I get for posting so late at night.

My bad!

The WW outfit is pretty vanilla, I was hoping they'd armor her up more than that. I am glad though that the Batman armored suit is making its way into the fight with Supes :thumbsup I'm a sucker for anything Miller TDKR.

Okay to all those of you complaining about her being too skinny, take a look at these pics from San Diego Comic Con. In particular, take note of the size of her arms and shoulders in comparison to Henry Cavill.

HUGE difference there compared to Fast and Furious...

She does look better in those photos. Thanks.

Jaimie Alexander would still kick Gal's butt in a street fight, however.
