Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

That poster actually makes me think from a look stand point it could work. I am just like everyone else though with the voice.

Yeah, if they could Photoshop him throughout the whole movie and process his voice, we might have something - but, that's not going to change his inflection(s) and acting style. It would still be better just to cast someone that fits the role rather than do all the manipulation that will be needed to make him work.

Who is Jesse Eisenberg really playing in the Man Of Steel sequel?
Just a little interesting insight to the character of Lex Luthor and the possible direction of the sequel.

lol. No way David and Zack are going to admit that their depiction of Superman was anything but glorious. If they are really going with this approach, it would only be to villainize the audiences who didn't like the last film since we obviously "didn't get it". Man of Steel glorifies Superman in almost everything he does, INCLUDING the collateral destruction that goes on around him (walking away from an exploding gas station unfazed).

Uh, question. If Lex Luthor plans to kill innocents in this movie, what's going to stop Superman from outright killing him?

The fact that he can pick him up with his pinkie and take him to prison? No offense meant, but that just seems like a dumb question to me. I realize it's most likely only because Superman killed Zod in MoS. However it was obvious (at least to me) that he thought that was the only way he could stop him from killing more people. With Lex he will (or should) always think there is another way to stop him, which is the main reason that Lex Luthor is such an amazing villain (at least IMO).

Why? Killing Zod was obviously a very effective method of stopping the villain from doing anything bad ever again and it didn't phase Superman that much since he was up to his usual jerkish self in the very following scene where he continues to destroy other people's stuff. What is it about this Superman's character that makes you think he cares about finding an alternate way of stopping bad people from doing bad things when he doesn't care about the bad things he does himself? Maybe if the last film established that Clark doesn't like killing things at all, you may be on to something. But no, instead he'

I really don't have time to go into a long detailed post right now, but I do want to clarify a few things. First I did not at any point say that I am fine with Superman killing anybody, and for the record I did not like that Superman killed Zod in MoS, I was just saying I understood why he felt he had to. Also, I never mentioned that prison/death were the only ways he could defeat lex, I just threw out a ridiculous option, the pinkie part should have given that away.

There is a difference between killing a super powered raging psychopath on a murder rampage who can't possibly detained by any human means and killing a human, as evil as he is. Nobody's going to charge superman for killing Zod, as he wasn't even human in the first place, but killing a human is guaranteed legal trouble for supes, especially someone like Lex, who is seemingly good in the public eyes. Not that the justice system could actually stop Superman and put him in jail should he be uncooperative.

I'd rather Matt Damon be Superman over Cavill. Not kidding. That franchise needs to be burned in a cleansing fire after whatever that movie was.

Like willingly destroying millions of dollars worth of military property? He's certainly working to earn the tax payers' trust with stints like that.

I knew the franchise was doomed the second I heard Snyder was doing it - and I was right - it's been going down the toilet from that moment.

What's a few million dollars in comparison to saving the world.
"Why did you just destroy that really expensive spy drone that we're using to invade your privacy like we do with everyone else in this country?"
"Would you rather I move to Russia and be their super-hero? I only just saved the entire planet and billions of lives. How about you back the heck off?"

Never mind how the city was pretty well destroyed... it's just stuff. Assuming nobody was in those buildings being toppled during his crazy super fight with Zod.

People never appreciate the bigger picture. Kind of like people whining about a fireman not getting someone's photo albums or pet fish out of a blazing inferno after they and their children were just saved from certain doom.

This...I never understood those arguments.

I think Eisenberg has the ability to play creepy, which Luthor really needs, just a confident genius who can easily manipulate the citizens of Metropolis. Aaand theres his voice... the bird from Rio? He cannot, repeat *CANNOT* play the twitchy stuttering kid as he usually does. If he can pull off calm & intimidating with a smooth voice, he can pull off Luthor. Yeah I can see it in his eyes that he can pull it off, he just needs some voice coaching to give that quivering sound some more range lol

I guess it's more of wanting to see Superman actually act like the good guy rather than seeing him act all high and mighty with his snide comments. I mean, this is Superman we're talking about. The guy who's supposed to assure you that he's on your side. After all the destruction and all mayhem that befell humanity (with some thanks to him), and apparently taking the death of Zod pretty hard, he decides the best way to show he means well to the people of the Earth... is to cause more destruction! Why? Wouldn't it have been more "Superman" like if he had just brought the drone back to it's base intact, showing everyone that he even though he can completely smash this drone to bits, he doesn't want to? It sends the message that he wants to be alone, but he won't use destructive means to get the message across. Plus it'd be kind of cool seeing Superman holding a drone with one hand while it tries effortlessly to break away from his grip.
