Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

My only reference to Thor was thanks to Adventures in Babysitting. :)

I remember seeing the Thor trailer for the first time and having a quick flash of that movie, almost like de ja vue or something, and thinking to myself, "Ohhhhhhhh, that's who that kid thought he was!"

Wasn't a Marvel Comics fan so had no clue. Big DC fan so hoping they can pull something off.

Latest rumor, which was seen on social media, so again, grain of salt, stated that there will be an end credit scene that Stephen Amell (Arrow) will be seen in, linking BvS to JL. I don't mind him as a TV Green Arrow. The show has gotten better then when it started, but I just don't see him as a big screen Green Arrow. I know Marvel is trying to link their movies together with a show and it would be one way to introduce characters without a stand alone film, but I would prefer they did an all new actor so it's all independent. Too many parts moving otherwise. TV, movie, crossovers from movie to movie to tv to movie. Too hard to keep it all tied together IMO.

Yea, remember, she gave the tow truck driver her helmet because he looked like Thor and thought he was being mean because he didn't have his helmet or hammer.

I saw her interview as well. My thinking is, she auditioned for Diana, for a larger role in JL, and she will be introduced in BvS in some small way. So to ensure they had a good Wonder Woman cast, they are using the casting call for BvS to get casting done for future tie in films and/or introductions of new characters that will briefly be seen in this film.

I must say, I never thought of Jaimie Alexander as Wonder Woman because all I have seen her in is Thor and she was really under utilized as Lady Sif. Now that I look at her and the previews for Thor: Dark World, I think she would be a spot on choice. Got the look, she already plays a badA## female hero so she is introduced to comics. I think she would do the part justice.

She was actually one of my favourite choices next to gina carano for wonder woman but i never once thought she was an option since she also plays sif in the marvel franchise. Have yet to see thor 2 but i def wanted more of Sif when i saw the first thor.

Then again why settle playing a small character when you can play one of the most iconic female superheroes.

I figured they'd use an actress like Jamie Alexander... certainly not my first choice, second, third... fourth.... Looks like they are leaning towards the miss America Wonder Woman route... again...

I think she would be an excellent wonder woman, I already liked her back in Kyle XY, although I never thought that would happen as she still is Lady Sif for Marvel, how's that going to work ?

well aslong as there isnt a contract saying she cant go over to DC for wonder woman im pretty sure that if its upto her shes the next WW

The second I saw her in Thor I thought it was too bad she was Sif, because she'd be a perfect Wonder Woman (not that it really was "bad") - which is I why I suggested her in that casting thread quite some time ago.

I'm not sure how they would work out the differing comic book roles - would her being cast as WW mean that she wouldn't be Sif any longer - would either contract forbid that? Would Marvel exclude her out of spite (for lack of a better term)?

I don't see how she's a "Miss America Wonder Woman" at all. She's an actress that definitely has the right look for WW, she's got the right height and build and has shown that she can do comic book-styled action. I don't like Gina Carano because she's not an actress, she's a fighter - her film credits are sparse (and seem to be those martial arts showcase movies more than anything else) and the reviews I've read on her have been "meh" at best.

Jaimie Alexander has shared screen time and held her own with Chris Hemsworth's Thor... and while he's not really proven in many folks' eyes, I think he's been an excellent Thor and has worked the screen very well (and yeah... Anthony Hopkins as well - not that gave a noteworthy performance). Yeah, she has a mixed bag of credits - but it is experience.

Thats why gina carano for me was good only when it comes to looks and well her fighting skills. Her acting would prob not be good enough for a role like this. I would def if jaimi turns out to be WW, be curious how marvel would move on from this.

I agree, Hemsworth has grown into the the role of Thor. There are much better actresses that could take up the Role of Wonder Woman, Lynn Colins comes to mind. Jaimie Alexander looks remarkably similar to Lynda Carter... who was Miss America in the 1970's. Both Lynda Carter and Jaimie Alexander are very pretty... not really what I'd define as Amazonian.

I don't think she would have auditioned for any role for the film if there was a clause in her contract saying she can't work with DC Comics.
