Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

You could tell it was latex when Keaton ripped it away at the end of Batman returns.

BTW, nothing says "I am about to take this mask off" like the sudden disappearance of the black eye shadow around his eyes.

Yeah, I hope they can do something about that for Batfleck. Maybe CGI it. I'm getting way ahead of myself and the movie for that matter. BTW, I forgot to add the mask removal from Batman Begins. Bale is shot from behind removing his foam latex cowl, but if you look carefully at the neck or lower jaw part, it's way oversized!

I see what you guys mean. When you look at the cowl removal section around 3:10, the neck stays indeed "rigid" and the cowl itself is really laying flat on his back. Given how easily he removed it, I can imagine it's not to much of a struggle to put it back on, so if they go that route with batfleck, i'll be happy. Probably more than if they use the Flash trick where they need to cut the scene whenever he removes the cowl or put it back on !

It's weird. I don't look at XMen or Avengers (both films with quantifiably more characters than Spider-Man 3) and think they're overfull, but something about that damn movie just isn't right. I guess it's the lack of give-a-crap that any of them engendered in that last Raimi flick. For sure though, that movie is a warning, a giant sign post, about how not to juggle multiple threads.

Yeah, the problems go way beyond simply "too many characters," but it certainly is a cautionary tale.

Age of Ultron flirted with the "too many characters" line, imo, by asking us to tolerate a huge Deus Ex Machina character that was hastily shoe-horned in. But we didn't know him, so it was hard to suddenly care and feel his import. I think that was Sidey 3's issue: telling us a character mattered instead of showing us? With Venom, I mean. Such a waste.

Minorly off topic I guess but BvS is starting to look a bit bloated even BEFORE that rumor. It's like they're worried they've got one chance, so they're trying to cram it all in.

They kinda do have one chance. If this movie tanks then the whole DC movieverse goes with it. I dunno. I'll see it, certainly. If for no other reason than to feel justified if I need to bitch about it lol.

I don't mind too many characters.

But it doesn't work with the setup. Right now, the man of steel is in a vacuum. He's the only hero on earth.

I can accept that Batman exists because he's small potatoes.

But other gods on earth? A bit too much. And if they are gonna have a bunch of super people, I deserves a better name

Well we have no idea yet what its gonna be about and if the other announced names will have that big of a role. So far trailer shown this is about batman and superman so the others i believe will just be glorified cameos to get into the JL.

Either way im curious to see how they will deal with this tho. Since alot is based on the miller version with the difference that this has to lead to them becoming the justice league.

As for the rumour itself. Too soon maybe cus next to darkseid (hopefully the justice league villain), Doomsday is one of my fav superman villains and would prefer him to be in a MoS standalone movie.

I honestly wasn't digging the batmobile in the previous shots that were released, but I've gotta say it is looking a lot better in this shot. Better than the Tumbler IMO.

This is the set of Suicide Squad though I think. And notice how this one doesn't have the front cannons or whatever they are.

Yes, you're right. My mistake. I don't follow the leaks particularly close, and it was just forwarded to me as another pic of the Batmobile. :lol

Curious as to why they'd remove the front turret, and also extend the back down for Suicide Squad.

Either way, still definitely digging this design now that I've got the full picture. (Updated to reflect the Batmobile of DOJ)

Oh yeah, I hadn't notice that back extension. Perhaps SS is happening earlier than DOJ ? Or it's just a modular batmobile, which would kinda make sense. I also wonder if the actual vehicle they use is electric, it makes a high pitch noise in the few videos of it. Either that or it's some kind of Formula 1 tuned engine. Although they might just dub it with a completely different sound in post-prod.

I read somewhere that Suicide Squad is indeed happening before BvS. Also, the back extension is just a car cover hanging off the back and the Batmobile appears to have a V8 engine, probably a crate motor. The noise coming from the thing is really loud indeed. I wonder if it could be a supercharger perhaps or maybe it's just the drivetrain.

EDIT: I've been reading up on this and what you actually hear is the transmission. It makes that noise, because it has straight cut gears instead of helical. This makes every gear sound like the reverse gear on a normal car, basically.

Off topic, but who can we petition about getting an official sarcasm font for the internet? Italics would work. No one really knows what it's supposed to be for anyway.
