Man that's awesome. I wish they had shown it more in the film, it's a cool batman gadget for sure.

here are some more pics i took this morning..

I tried using a process called presto black. Which is chemicals that etch itself into the metal changing the color. It worked at first but once i wiped everything down with a rag the blackening began to come out of the piece. so in response i sandblasted everything and shot it in spray paint. I believe it would have worked if this wasnt made out of aluminum.

It also cuts through van doors. I think its primary use is best- its a cool looking prop to go on the costume. It also gives him the illusion of having super-strength. Great job, Des.

Batman can't be everywere in Gotham so he choses which sorts of badguys he is going for that night. "Lets see tonight im going for....Rifle bad guys.... Then I need the barrelbending glove."
He sneeks away if the bad guy dont have a rifle. :lol

Indeed, it's classic Batman with his shark defense spray and thermal bat-undergarments. He's always got *just* the right gadget for the occasion yet never seems overloaded. I guess since he doesn't use guns, he's not bogged down with too much ammunition.

Shame to hear about the mishap with the paint, nothing worse than something not going right and having to redo it. Aluminium is normally so good at taking colour.

Uh, guys... we saw it do two very different functions before getting stuck and him having to abandon it. I dont think it was just his "nifty thrifty gun barrel bender".

Awesome job - looks amazing and I would love to own one!

thanks guys.!
this was a fun project.

yeah it is a neat show off toy to have in the collection.. but the truth of the matter is.. that it is made for darthmaddys batman begins suit.

Well i guess there will be no run of these. If anyone is interested in them let me know and we can probably work something out. as for the pics of it on the Begins suit this weekend is ConNooga in Chattanooga Tennessee and there will be pictures of it there.

here is DarthMaddy trying it on
