I'm putting together a lighting set for this great kit - you can see my prototype >>in this thread<<.
I'm looking at 3 options at the moment:
1) Just the basic electronics - this would comprise of an assembled controller board and battery pack, and the prewired SMD LEDs for the engines but will require a small amount of soldering ability to connect the LED wires to the board once they have been installed in the model.
2) A set of 3D printed resin inserts for the engines. These have a recess in the back to allow the LED to be securely mounted, and help diffuse the light evenly.
3) A 3D printed base - this is more compact than my prototype, and both the controller board and battery pack simply clip in place. Tube to connect model to base also supplied.
If you might be interested, let me know below which options you'd be interested in. I'm not sure on price yet but want to keep it realistic. Probably ballpark £20/$25 for the electronics.
