Bandai 1/144 Millennium Falcon GROUP build awakens! OPEN TO EVERYONE! :)

That's cool:)

waiting patiently for for a complete lighting kit which is on the way I'm told :) be reluctant to glue the frames together until then.

No aerosol gel or liquid is allowed be posted or mailed or carried on a plane.

Europeans looking for these tins have had their deliveres stopped at customs and never delivered.

Nonetheless, any regular tan and white paint can be mixed to create "Insignia White." Mostly white with a few drops of tan will do it.

I'll be trying this today thanks Daniel. (Just as soon as I figure out how much of each)

Cool thanks!
Id be ok with this if I could remember what it was. It was a spray can and a falcon I never finished. Think it might be antique white

It is just pure Falcon porn

Damn, im starting to want to build a 5 footer again haha. i would have to hang it from a ceiling to be able to fit it in my flat tho. The great thing would be that the greeblies could be matched one for one in scale so you could get it so much closer to the real thing.

On a somewhat unrelated note, does anyone have a decent picture of the small pit next to the cockpit on the topside of the saucer. the one one from the original 5 footer, not the force awakens falcon which is quite different. all the references i have dont show it clearly, also if anyone has any idea of what greeblies may have been used.

sorry this is not being asked in my MPC falcon thread.

Really wasn't sure about using a rubber black primer but glad I did. Made my base coat. 2 pots of flat white, about 8 drops of wooden deck tan and 20 drops of light grey.
Its coming up good

That looks good. pretty much how i mixed mine. TBH i dont remember the exact mixture but it was white with some deck tan and more grey. Over the black base coat that would darken to the right colour. Your sidewalls look awesome, its ghosted over nicely.

Judging by the pics you should end up with a very nice look. top stuff :)

Thanks man!! i think im happy with it..but rather be brighter than too dark at this stage :) Jeez I have a whole new deeper respect for people ultra detailing these..i'm on the mandibles and the small pipes! mother of god theyre small and tricky!! my file is too abrasive to really take down the flashing on them but carefully does it..

ill hate A30 as long as I live image.jpeg

Now how to handle the gunner turret frames. No idea how anyone manages to mask them with tape. They're so tiny. Careful hand painting I'm thinking.
