Ball joints for G Grievous arms.

I am working on my lifesize Grievous sculpt and I need some help.
I sculpted the ball joints for the arms' articulations but it would be great to find them so it could be fully poseable.
The ball diameter is 25 mm.
Regards.

That wouldn't work. Auto ball joints and rod ends are made to move, not stay still. Remote control planes might have tiny versions.

Ray Harryhausen built frameworks inside all his stop motion creatures that had ball joint pivots. If you can find photos it would point the way.

Yes but the inumerable ball joints I have bought whilst building cars have always been very stiff. Plus, you could drill and tap a hole in the housing and put a grubscrew in to lock the ball in place - this way you can loosen-position-tighten the ball joint in whatever angle you please.

Do you have access to milling or lathe tools?

Can you post a picture of the joint? I may have some ideas, but it would help to know what the final product should look like.

If you're looking for steel spheres that you can drill and use, try http://www.mcmaster.com/
