Back to the Future

They used this kind of paper, because the old matrix printers needed it. Since they cropped the paper for the movie, I think there's no need to use continuous paper for that replica. An ordinary US-Letter sheet is good enough.
Yeah, but in the scene you can clearly see the rip-off edges (don't know the correct term in English) on the faxes:

There's a box of the correct paper on the Bay right now (Continuous Pin-Feed Dot Matrix Printer Paper and Adhesive Labels | eBay), but shipping is way too much too Belgium for the complete box. Somebody want to snap it up in the US and sell this box off in small amounts of sheets (let's say 50 or 100) for a fair price?

Hi guys, don´t know if somebody already post this here, but here is the PDF of the Sports Almanac.

Enjoy

As far as I can see, that's a scan of the officially available and licensed almanac, but without the cover. The inside pages are not screen accurate. Wait a few weeks and you will get an accurate version of the almanac from me. I'm working on it. It will have a vectorized cover and high-res scans of the real source, the "Guinness Sports Record Book 1985-86". :)

Yes, you're right. Never noticed that before. Hmmm, so I think, I also have to look for this paper.

Hey guys maybe someone can take a shot at cleaning this up making the left side of the poster a little less squished. This is the exact poster hanging ...

Since I have the plan to make ALL possible BTTF paper props myself, you can be sure, that I will also make that "Enchantment under the sea" poster some day. ;)

Check that german online store:

Toy Palace Germany - Zurck in die Zukunft II Grays Sports Almanach BTTF1950

In that store you can buy only legal merchandise, so I think, that almanac must be licensed.

If you search on Google for the EAN 076714004955, you will find that almanac in anothers stores too.

I'm kind of doubting that is licensed. Judging just from the photos, the cover looks really bootlegish and and the receipt looks cheaply printed. Plus, I've also never seen it for sale on BTTF.com, and that site usually has everything licensed for sale.

Maybe you're right. But what I really tried to say was that the pages from Dimclay's PDF were from that almanac and that they are absolutely inaccurate. ;)

By the way: Most of the licensed replicas look cheap. :)

Great work as always Roland :thumbsup.

Marty's fax paper didn't seem to have rough edges at the sides, not sure about the bottom as it is not clear enough. The yellow fax paper had rough edges on the side, while Jen's copy had mild rough edges at the bottom, thus indicating both to be part of continuous paper. But frankly I don't think continuous paper is essential even if you are trying to screen match. Jen's copy in Part 3 appears to be regular paper.

And yes besides the notebook version sold at Universal there has been no official replicas of the Almanac. BigBadToyStore also sells Markpoon's Almanac replicas.

Thank you, Vivek. :)

Do you count the small replica, that came with the special Blu-ray editions? Of course, that version also has inaccurate pages and an inaccurate size, but because beeing part of a Blu-ray edition, it must be licensed.

No, it's continuous paper, too. I've made a few better Blu-ray screen grabs, where you can see it:

Yes that could be considered licensed, but I didn't know that a whole book came with the UK edition. I thought it was just the Almanac cover.

You're right it's there in Part 3 as well. Now that I look at those Blu-ray grabs I can notice those rough edges in my 720p print screen grabs as well.

It's not a real book. It's more like a small and thin magazine. But it's not just the cover - it contains sports results.

I did some research, the almanac is a licensed product from a company called "Art Books", which has done some other books than the Alamanac, besides the Almanac has a EAN code. Doesn't look bad for about 111 pages, just the receipt looks shoddy.

I think "Art Books" is just the name of the category of books, not a company name. It's listed in the above link.

But considering how the other Almanac book was released only in UK for the Blu-ray set, this replica MAY also be a new licensed product released only in Europe. But since there is no name of manufacturer listed in the product page, I am still leaning towards the idea that it's a unlicensed replica just like the one on BBTS.

Isn't the one on BBTS supplied by Markpoon? Same description and all.

Which of course, would make it an unlicensed replica, but the best one out there.

Many unlicensed replica's are better than the licensed ones. Look at the Iron Man Arc Reactor: Gordon Gekko's version is far mor screen accurate than the "official" Museum Replicas version.
