Back to the Future

Also you can see it in Back to the Future Part 2 and....oh wait. :lol

Yeah, interesting to see how it appears in other productions, but then again the filming lot can be only so big right. Some parts of Spider-Man were filmed there (the alley way kiss).

Why did you double post the same message??

Some parts of site has been a little screwy lately and sometimes the pages don't load as quickly as normal. He probably just hit reply, it didn't do anything for a little bit, so he hit it again and got a double post. It's pretty common on all boards.

Then sombody knowing also about the Pinemall parket place.
The wall you see with Jcpenny.is the same shoping mall i think from the movie Dawn of the dead from George a romero.its this right ?

Nope! The original Dawn of the Dead by George Romero filmed at the Monroeville Mall just east of Pittsburgh. The newer version was filmed at the Thornhill Square Shopping Center in Thornhill, Ontario.

The mall in BTTF is actually the Puente Hills Mall, located in the City of Industry. The exact address is 1600 Azusa Ave., City of Industry, CA; you'll find it right next to the Pomona (60) Freeway, at the Azuza Ave. exit. The mall looks more or less the same today.

I got my hands on a few hundreds of sheets of US letter continuous paper. So I printed Roland's great pfd of the full fax on it, and it came out great. The text even aligns correctly with the wholes in the borders.

Left is the original, right is the replica. I think I'm gonna print the blank and faded versions too + make en extra set with the borders torn off, like the faxes seen in the movie itself.

Roland, thanks again for this (and all other) great files! If you ever do a high-quality Tales from Space comic, please drop me a PM. I have a high-res scan of the CORRECT Red Ryder Ad. I got it directly from someone who has a copy of the magazine it came from. I was planning on doing a run of finished Tales from Space magazines, based on the Profiles images of the front and the Red Ryder Ad I got, but due to lack of time this will not happen. I didn't plan on giving out the Red Ryder Ad, but since you post the one great file after the other, you can use this file anytime to create a great Tales from Space file for the community.

That looks really great! :) Do you have some of these paper sheets for sale?

Wait a few days with the printing of the fading version. I noticed that it's too bright, if you print it out (much brighter than the PDF appears on screen). So I will make two different and slightly darker versions of that fading text.

I already have a good file of the correct Red Ryder page. It's 1600 pixels high. Look at the attached file. Is your scan better?

The main problems are: I don't know, if the Profiles in History image is good enough (it's just 1200 pixels high). And: We still don't know the correct comic for the inside pages. Did you find it out?

Roland, I sent you a PM.

My Red Rider Add is about 5500 pixels high (600 dpi scan).

The inner pages of the Tales from Space comic are indeed unknown. I started a thread here to ask for help identifiying these pages, but without success: Identification of a comic needed...

My sports almanac replica is almost finished. You have to wait just a few days, guys. ;)

But before I distribute the files, I want to ask, if anyone has a good scan of the original front picture (need just the drawing with the sportsmen, not the whole cover front) and is willing to give it out for free to the community and the rest of the world. If I can't find a better one, I will use the 1200 pixels image file of the cover from "Profiles in History", which is the best one, that I could find on the internet.

Here are some (not so good) preview photos of my test printouts to get a taste of what to expect. The complete almanac is fully vectorized (except of the sportsmen drawing on the front), even the scans from the Guinness book. :)
