My curiosity is that PRS is based in the New England area I thought. The story I know is the bird inlays he now does are a bird local to where the factory is and the fretboard mocks how it dives into the water.
They would have only been in business for a couple of years, and even then they would have been competing with the big dogs, and to get into a movie that ended up being timeless just makes me wonder.

Yeah but it would have had to begun in 87 or 88 right, shooting pre production stuff.

you can pick up used PRS guitars for 6-800 if you look hard enuff - but they couldnt hold a candle to my esteban set !! LOL
Where are you lucky to be looking? Unless they are the "Santana" cheapo model, I've never seen one that low.
