HI All,

It's finally "finished". I Present to you, the Katana from Sack Snyder's Sucker Punch, Babydoll's weapon with the fate already written. 24inchs blade,

The title say 10 years in the making because I wanted the katana since I saw the movie, and everything I did since then has come to this. Aluminium blade making, computer modeling, metal engraving, metal casting, hilt, scabbard, and everything in between. Thanks to everyone's help along the way, it's finally here.

While I think I can boast this could be the most accurate blade replica in the world, even against the so to speak original film replica, because there are just so little information regarding certain parts of the pieces, I had to use a lot of creative license.

I know there are a few colour choices that I made was probably wrong, But at the time, I truly believed it was correct. The most important part for me is the blade.

I say "finished" because I only engraved one side of the blade, and I encountered a injury on my finger(index finger of the dominate hand), and there are still the date to be put down.

Im in the process of making a video about the build, but Im just too lazy and too ill equipped to do it fast.

In the meanwhile, I'd love see hear your opinions.

There are the rest of the images.

You know, a lot of people make a big thing out of the engraving, the hand piece and laying down patterns in particular, but it really isn't. Try it! I know etching maybe quicker, but they just look sooooo different.

I know I'm in the minority around here, but the Director's Cut of SUCKER PUNCH is one of my all time favorite movies.

Really glad to see the time & dedication you put into this blade. Thank you for sharing.

I'm not sure if I've seen the Directors cut or not, but whichever version I did see I thought it was a fun emotional ride.

Whoops! Was thinking about the movie and forgot to comment on the Katana! Sorry :D Great job!

I think it's like a lot of the film in pop culture, which when released, it wasn't very popular, but after some fermentation, the viewer at larger seemed to finally start to get it. It's like the society finally caught on. But This film is one of those yet to catch on, I think.
