I was loking around the net for refrence shots to a prop called a Poof Gun. It was, to put it simpley, a shrink gun from the 1961 movie,"Babes In Toyland".

I couldn't find anything clear. So i dicided to try to find my old VHS recording & get my own screencaps.

What I can figure from these shots, the gun is a toy flitlock with the barel replaced with a red tube with small ray gun like fins on ether side. For the acute barel on top. It's a trumpet horn on a pipe. The copper tubing, runs from the back end on the tumpet pipe to the front of the red tube & the red tube holds the trupet pipe in place.

I can tell what type of toy flintlock is, (there meny varieties), or what is on the back of the red tube & what type of cap on the trumpet pipe or what is the pluming parts conecting the spireled copper pipe & the cap holding the mysterious liquid beaker.

I have not seen this movie in years.
No idea of what type of flintlock was used.
The liquid beaker in the screenshots appears to be an Erlenmeyer flask.

I was obsessed with this prop as a child. It was one of the first replicas my father and I made together.
I wonder if I still have it in a box somewhere? I remember we used a squirt-gun flintlock for the base, a flashlight body for the orange portion, and a bike horn for the top!

I just made a photoshop refrence.

I don't know if the middle of the red tube has a coiled tube around it or its like disk fins.

I was intrigued by this prop when I was a youngster. I believe the horn-looking part is a cut-off bell and tube of an actual trumpet a musician would play.
