Aliens vs. Predator Sequel Rumblings at Fox

"An anonymous source over at 20th Century Fox got in touch with us over the weekend to relay the news another Aliens vs. Predator sequel is a "certainty" at this point. If you recall, the brothers Strause - who helmed the Christmas release Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem - stated Fox was going to take a "wait-and-see" approach to a third chapter, furthermore, that the story would have to continue in space (details). "AVP-R" grossed a worldwide total of $128.8 million; $41 million domestically. It hits DVD on April 15th (specs and art). No word yet if the Strause brothers will return to the franchise."

SPECULATE TO ACCUMULATE ! ! ! !

get GOOD story/director/actors and throw some decent money at it . and you can revive both series and rake in even more cash .

give it the same level of funding as the last 2 and wave good bye to both iconic creatures .

Fox, hit the brakes and contemplate for a minute:
-quality over quantity
-space-colony: yes please, but just don't fill it up with USCM personnel only, make it a mix and match much like the original comic (blue collar workers caught in the act) with some USCM presence.
-auction the SFX between SWFX, KNB FX, WETA FX, ADI and Baker (for all I care) on the basis of new concepts as audition.
-write a decent story and give the writer time to do so
-speaking of time constraints: 2 months isn't enough to build known monsters well... Give the FX guys time to design, build and finish the suits/animatronics
-don't ever reduce the budget again for a followup movie (AVP was 60 mil, AVP-R is still unknown but whispered to be around just 30-40 mil)

Doing this right would make me extremely happy.

I hope they do make another, just the work on story,characters ect. Special effects are the last thing to worry about. And to be honest I have found AVP and AVPR to be tooo short. Maybe its just me.

But all in all I would LOVE another AVP movie, I say bring more out.

Don't turn it into yet another teen slasher horror flick but treat your characters with respect. I actually woudn't mind seeing Ripley again, I hope Sly was a joke...

i wanna see a pack of preds take out some colonial marines while huntin the aliens i think that would be the coolest

i really dont mind if it takes place in space jus as long as there is a good story overall

i think fox should really sit down and think about the next movie and how to take it on so they can do much better

even though we all know they wont they'll jus hire some dumb director and throw in some teen flick actors into it

I think the third one should delve deeper into the history of the Predators, and I think we should see more of their homeworld.
Perhaps the aliens could invade it or something and they go absoutely ape ****.

That would be pretty sweet.

But then you have to think we are going to see a few countless predators die, then we would get upset because we know predators are the top class hunter in any situation. I say we just go back to LV426

Well...
I didn't mean it in that respect.
Say... Maybe we tie in the Space Jockey from the first alien film, pilots the "bomber plane" (Filled with alien eggs which are the bombs) And drops a few on the Predator planet making lots of Predaliens... Seeing as there would most likely be more Predators than Predaliens, so then maybe it would be a more fair fight.

The first time I seen the Space Jockey I was like what in dah *$(@s is dat thing...is it a chair..no it has bones....NO NO its a bone chair...NO its looking into a telescope...well umm OHHH ITS A BIG DEAD CREATURE!! YAY! I didnt win a prize though

Predaliens>Predators unfortuneatly, they are problably the tuffest other then the Queen herself to fight against. They have both species DnA and I mean you seen AVPR, they just have nasty tails! But yah it would be a awsome sight to see them battling it out on the planet, Iam guessing alot of plasma bolts flying around lol.
