Ok, just wondering what which films which are universally considered "average", but yet you personally consider them to be oretty great.
A few of mine -
Dragonslayer - Classic dragon tale with some of the best FX of the early 80's, IMO.
Great dialog and acting all around.
Probably the darkest and most violent Disney film to date.
TIme after TIme - Inspired by HG Well's "THe TIme machine".
Directed by "Wrath of Khan's - Nicholas Meyer.
in the late 19th century Jack the RIpper escapes justice by hopping into HG Wells time machine and travelling into the future. HG Wells follows in pursuit.
Great to watch Malcolm Mcdowell as a clumsy pacifist (Especially after playing "Alex" in A CLockwork Orange".)
A few plot holes here and there, but great entertainment.
My only realy gripe is the fact that this film was made in the late 70's...Kind of of cheesy irony that HG Wells travels into the future and ends up in the the corniest decade in the past century.
Great score by legendary film composer Miklos Rosza.
