Avatar Props? yes, the animated show.

I've seen a couple of cool costumes here, but no actual props. i was wondering if anybody has made any props based on this cartoon. It's a much better show than one might first expect. My wife started watching it and now i'm hooked.

I saw a Avatar outfit in the costume forum I think. He had Ang stick too.

My house is totoally hooked on the show too.

Yeah, i saw the post with the kid and the Aang staff. costume was great, especially loved the shaved head. that's a commitment right there. That's pretty much the only thing i've seen though. too bad, some cool goodies could come outta that show. guess i'll wait for the live action movies to come out...then the band wagon will be overflowing! :unsure

I was toying with the idea of making Aang's staff, but was unable to find a suitable piece of wood.

On a related note, I'm going to King's Dominion tomorrow with my kids and hope to snag a few plush Appa and Momo's while I'm there. All my Avatar liking friends are clamoring for one after seeing my plush Appa.

I work at Nickelodeon and this year 4 people from the show, including one of the creators: Mike Dimartino, dressed up as the 4 kids. Mike did the Avatar state Aang.

I'd love to see someone tackle some of the props: Sokka's sword and boomerang, Katarra's water bottle, Aang's stick, maybe even Uncle's tea set?

I can show them to the creators!

That's the one thing I can't get over about Avatar....the creators look like they are 12 years old. I mean seriously, those are some teeny little younguns that make that show, and they do an awesome job.

Yeah they're pretty young as creators in general. Early 30's. Incredibly talented both of them though. Totally deserving.

This is a great show! I caught an episode by mistake and found myself wanting to watch more, which made me want more... I haven't seen any new ones lately, though.

Only 3-4 :cry. Well at least it's still being produced. I hope it's doing well and will stick around. I really like a cartoon with so much plot. It's been great for My wife and I to watch. A friend from City of Heroes told us about it and we were hooked.

I love the Avatar too, but for some reason the local network keep changing the show time, so much so that I've given up trying to catch it. I'd mark the time in my scheduller this week and when I tune in next week at that time something else would be showing.

Would LOVE to see someone make a transformable Aang's staff. I'd so totally buy that!

BTW didn't Makoto Iwamatsu passed sometime last year? Since they're still making the series and Uncle Iroh's character is still there I'd say they managed to find a good substitude.

yeah, Mako died about a month ago. too bad. he was also doing a voice on TMNT. Would the wings of aang's staff be paper? seems to fall in line with the theme if it were paper rather than canvas, or some other fabric.

Makoto Iwamatsu, who voiced Uncle Iroh, passed on July 21, 2006.

He was so good in Avatar, his voice, script and animation all melded together to make Uncle Iroh come to life. Fantastic job done by everyone involved.
