As I am midway through a maxwell house tin build of the Audrey plant, I thought I'd test the waters to see if it would be worth making a small run of the plant parts and also a replica maxwell house tin. I'm thinking as a rough guide (give or take 15 quid depending on how long it takes to build each one and how easy it will be to make/buy artificial vines ) I was going to offer:
1) *the kit, (unpainted, unbuilt, with all parts to make the plant (head, leaves, stem, vines and spanish moss) apart from the maxwell house tin) for £60 plus shipping,
2)*the unbuilt model with a replica tin (as it stands currently, i have the correct size tubing cut up and am having the labels professionally created and printed using screen used images of the can and details from correct era cans, so they wont be perfect, but they'll be pretty damn good from a foot away, including the rib in the can if everything goes to plan!) £70 plus shipping
3)* built kits, painted, with replica tin: all painted and assembled, ready to display £90 plus shipping
I've already established its gonna take about a fortnight for the last bits I need to complete the project to arrive and I was thinking just a small run of 5 to get the whole thing made and completed in a timely fashion. All 5 will be completed and sent out within 1 month after the last of the five deposits made. Deposit would be £10 for a place in the list and will be accepted once the 5 preliminary spots have been requested. Obviously people are gonna need photos before they make any solid decisions on whether they want one or not but I'm hoping to get photos up of what I've already completed in the next few days and the completed model with tin will be up in about 2 weeks time (based on stuff arriving in a timely fashion, everything has already been ordered) hopefully as I start putting pieces up, this will gain some interest. Therefore I'm hoping at best, to get the spots filled within 2 weeks, ready for those people to put in their deposits. In a best case scenario, this run of 5 will be entirely complete within 6 weeks.
I'm hoping to paint the finished kit with my airbrush to get a realistic finish but will need to dig it out of storage to see if its running ok. Finally, I should mention that it wiill be a poseable kit (mouth and tongue poseable.)

Let me know if you have any questions! Pics will be up soon xx

List for who wants in, once I've got to 5, I'll pm you for deposits.

little bump and mini update, I'm still in the sculpting stage, had to go back to the start when i realised the head of Audrey was slightly too big so i had to start with a smaller base. will hopefully have photos up in the next few days.

Bump, so I can find the thread. Just collating the photos together as I've had a friend take pics during the build. Will post within the next 24 hours. Thanks!

OKAY! So its been a bit of a hectic few weeks but the pictures are finally here! Sorry for the delay boys and girls, I have been off gallivanting at Bloodstock Festival and then overtime at work meant I was pretty much sleeping, working and then doing some more sleeping! But the sculpt is finally done! I am just trying to find some silk flowers for the petals behind the head, and waiting on the prints of the Maxwell house logo to arrive. So without further ado.....

Apologises for my messy house in the background!

So obviously this is just the sculpt that needs to be moulded. The plan is to mould the tongue, the two leaves and the top and bottom separately and they will all fix together with wires, meaning it is pretty pose-able. I have decided due to the amount of time I have put into this, and the fact that I am proud of my work, I want to make some decent box moulds for this, so will be putting the prices up by £10 for each tier (so, kit - £60, kit with tin - £70 and fully built - £90) and I will also need £20 deposit for each so that I can get a decent batch of silicone mixed up and have these coming out perfect. If anyone is interested, just let me know. Once I have the first 5 names, and have the deposits paid etc, I will be aiming to get these moulded and shipped within 2/3 weeks :)

Bump! Anybody know how I can edit the title to reflect that the list is open? Thanks xx

I'm interested! Just waiting for a photo of the finished product. Looking good so far.

Re: Audrey 2, little shop of horrors (maxwell house tin version) LIST OPEN FOR DEPOSI

The issue I am currently having is that I am unable to use my master to assemble the plant as it needs moulding and the wire frame inside the model parts becomes the stem of the plant. I am unable to make the mold without deposits for outlay, So that maybe easier said than done....

I would be very keen to purchase a finished Audrey 2, but without an example of a completed one I'm reluctant to commit, but I understand your dilemma.

What the hell! Put me down for a finished Audrey 2. :)
