At the cross roads for space cat mask sculpt

Well then, here we go, first major Sculpt!

My education is limited but this is one of those sculpts I don't want to mess up. I've got the absolute base of my sculpt done and before I add in my skin texture and wrinkles, I see two paths before me:
1: Make the lower lip and chin into a second prosthetic separate from the main mask
2: proceed with a full mask.

I plan to make a 4 way stretch cowl then to cast in Smooth on Ecoflex 00-30. Casting btw will be in resin (I have resin and some fiber glass scraps) oh and using Monster clay medium, have hard on hand as well.

The biggest concern I have is the silicone weight of the lip, both upper and lower. Will the weight be too much to move mouth - mainly concerned with drinking water. I've done well with silicone to skin adhesives (actually only adhesive my skin allows.) will the lip be too much to really adhere on? would it be possible to put a... pillow/filler/bladder in the lip to make it lighter and possibly more flexible?

In your experience what might go wrong with this sculpt as a full mask and any advice... well frankly any advice or suggestions is greatly welcomed!

Looking forward to your experienced guidance and thank you in advance!

I recently cast a silicone mask. I really made it too heavy the first time I cast it. It's embarrassing how much it weighed so I won't go into it here. I did another cast of it. Did a few coats of silicone and then put power mesh all through the mask to prevent it from tearing, then did 1 or 2 more layers of silicone. It's relatively light weight and the mouth opens and closes with no problem. Now I just need to paint it. The head of my mask is rather bulbous so I made a plastic shell that goes under the mask too to hold it's shape. Foam will be inside the shell to pad it out some.

I think as long as you keep the silicone layers thin and support them with mesh you should be fine?
