AT-AT Head Help

I'm thinking of building a AT-AT head to scale with the Hasbro figures and was wandering if anyone has done this and where I could some templates to help with this project. Th Hasbro AT-AT is less than average and I as hoping to do one a bit better looking.

Sorry, I can't be of any hope, but I wish you luck with it. I'm hoping that since they have resculpted the Falcon, the At-St, the X-Wing, and partially the Tie Fighter, that the AT-AT isn't far behind! My favorite vehicle of Star Wars hands down.

Wow, that will be quite a project for you! Although I have no specs to help you, I'm sure there is someone here that will be able to chip in.

Hasbro's 3 3/4" action figures are about 1/18 scale...

The Master Replicas Walker is in 1/48 scale...

Take it and enlarge it by factor 2 2/3 and you have the outer structures right. But that is just the path I would follow :angel

Good luck and keep us posted!

Thanks Julien.
I noticed one in the latest Toys'R'Us catalogue here in Oz. They're $180 though!! (US/Aus take your pick :rolleyes), a bit exy for a not very accurate toy, but may be worth it if a reasonably accurate replica can be fashioned without starting from scratch.
Hmm, JT

Not at all.

To elaborate, "same as the old one, for our purposes". Chris said much the same thing in the other thread.

John, it'd be a lot of money for the amount of work you'll need to do. New head required and a lot of reworking. IMO, if you can pick one up cheap then do, otherwise...

The legs aren't perfect, but Hasbro has redesigned them to be a bit more accurate. You may be able to use them for a conversion. Other than that the rest of it has to be made from scratch.

Sorry to hijack your thread Hewitt.
Thanks for all the replies guys, might just resign myself to fixing up the Revell one!
Cheers, JT
