Hey guys

OK first delve into helmets for me, so its not 100% cannon for you anal guys out there. Yes its white, not grey, my call!
Still work ongoing, but i was lucky enough to have a very good buddy shoot me out some CO2 bulb holders which i fitted today and i still need to scratch some parts, such as the cassette buttons, and the "clock" parts in the brow.
The CO2 holder hoses are not cannon, i scratched them from silicone hose, with electrical wire wrapped around, then applied grey heatshrink, dont think they look too bad, and sourcing the right hose was proving difficult and costly.
Also fitted a Fenix padded liner which is rather swish, so its more a pimped ATAT than a cannon attempt :lol!

This is one we don't see often enough. Great work so far!

Yeah wish there were more, but i do think many hold out for the illusive unknown brow parts.....huge respect to those guys too as its the same dedication id give a studio mini build i guess.

Helmet looks great, would love to have one some day.I'm sure you'll do an excellent job scratching the parts.

Looking good so far! If you want more accuracy, you will need to cut those tabs off the bottoms of the CO2 thingies.

Clutch, yeah just saw that on Jez's site, appear's there is just a nub present on them after cutting, not a problem as they arent bonded to the hose and just push on nicely!

Very nice work so far!

Some things you may want to consider are fixing the co2 holders to the helmet so they dont swing around (or hang forward).

Plus you dont need the silver reels on the ears - on the AT-At's they just had white vinyl discs. Plus the red/grey forehead squares look a little big

I presume youre going to do the chi (nice frown BTW) and the inside edges of the mohawk needs painting white.

Your rear cannisters look really great - although you may want to paint the a lighter shade of grey if youre going white.

But these are just minor points - since you've done great so far - Well done

That is.....unless you want to take the plunge and go grey :)

Cheers

Jez thanks for chiming in its awesome to here from the guy who's handled the real thing.
Ok the Co2 hangers just need a bend in the hose TBH, the hose is very firm, so they wont swing around anyhoo, which is nice.
Alloy earpiece discs were my call, as i said, im not going 100% cannon on this as well....it all gets a bit silly then and hey, i wanted to pimp it some.

Chin isnt painted yet, but there are a few areas i still need to paint (it does say WIP) such as the inner Mohawk vent and red markings on the earpieces.

Anyhoo im yet to see an ATAT done to the letter, the LAWS just looks wrong in the face for me, and even your SDS has too high a brow, and the tusks are too deep in the apertures, but thats what makes it all fun, differing approaches to what we want to see!

bests.....lee

Kudos! very nice. I guess I need to log in over here more often and stay of TDH my fett is killing me nice to see something different for a change!

Fantastic! Thanks for posting. I keep meaning to work up one of these guys. I'm with you on the color. I know gray has been shown to be correct, but I would have to go with white. It just "looks right." Plus if you got white ABS already then no need to paint. :D

TBH i went with white, as one screen they are white, and, as a child growing up with TESB, they were....white....so the news on them being grey, ruined my childhood dreams, and therapy was on the cards :lol
