Assassin's Creed Connor Kenway

Hi guys this is my first proper post on here. I've been an observer for a couple of years and in the last 8 months or so have been getting really into cosplaying.

I've done various costumes so far, Ninth Doctor, Tenth Doctor, Eleventh Doctor, Finn the Human, Captain America, Spider-Man.

A costume I've been very eager to get going is Connor Kenway from Assassin's Creed 3. Now I don't really have any knowledge of costume making, especially from scratch. I've always used whatever I can get my hands on and then tweaked it.

Today I received a very sub standard costume from none other than China. It's a bit pants as far as costumes to go, but I expected that and knew full well it'd need a lot of work.

This is the costume on me. Apologies for Instagram quickness.

As you can see it needs a ton of work to being it up to a good standard for cons and such!

The first thing I did was lose all the horrible fake leather straps, quiver and pouches. This was a vast improvement already!

I've ordered a new quiver after a lucky browse on eBay.

I've found some great buttons also on eBay.

For a quick bow solution I've grabbed this, also from eBay.

So that's where I am right now with the costume. Once other pieces arrive and bits are pieced together I'll upload photos with the progress.

If anyone knows any good resources for this costume don't hesitate to let me know. Of course if you have sweet skills in costume making I'd be more than happy to hear from you! My main issue I think will be the leather belt along with the pouches and holsters.

I was looking at the Museum Replica costume stuff and it's not that great either, it's all Ezio stuff mind you, but aside from the hidden blade and pistol gauntlet part it's all really cheap looking so you're doing better by piecing it all together.
