Assassin's Creed: Altair

I've been working on an Altair costume for Emerald City Comicon and decided I finally have enough to show you guys.
This is my first time working with leather, and it has certainly been a learning experience, but I think everything has turned out pretty well for my first time.
Here are a few photos of what I have done so far:

I also have the robes done, the pants, and the red sash, but I don't have photos of them yet. Still need to make a few things, but the costume should come together in time for the con.

It looks amazing! And for your first time working with leather I'm going to upgrade that to "extra amazing" :)

Alright, I kind of abandoned posting updates in my frantic frenzy to finish the costume in time for ECCC. I ended up working until 2am the day of the con, but I did manage to get it finished enough to wear!

The shoulder portion of the hood desperately needs to be redone, as well as the embroidery and the right vambrace (the plates were crazy heavy). I'd also like to weather the entire thing and get a larger pair of boots, but I'm pretty happy with it overall. Despite all the flaws, I still placed third in the video game category of the costume contest, I was shocked to say the least but very happy!

I plan on doing a proper shoot of the costume after I make all of the fixes, so I should have some better photos soon!

Feedback is always appreciated! Also, if anyone has any suggestions on how to remake the vambrace plates so that they don't weight six tons, I would greatly appreciate them! :)
