The Run will be for both MAIN HAND and OFF HAND SHOTO
I will post models and more information along the way just like the other project runs I have done over the years.

We've been bouncing this idea back and forth now for while and figured it was time to see what you guys thought. By now, you(or many of you at least) should all be familiar the quality that goes into Aaron's hilts and know what to expect. Needless to say it will be like all the others we have done and come in a DIY form, engineered to be installed and super accurate.

Price Goal: $250-$300 ish

Now, some things that are still up in there air:

Will there be a "normal and short versions"?? (think Tachi and Kodachi)
Answer = We don't know yet, stay tuned.

This interest thread will stay up through the holidays and well into January. The "V2 team" will be working on this project. Let us know what your thoughts are.

The DIY that we refer to is the electronics or internal chassis construction. The way we engineer the sabers are to be able to be installed, rather than just static, and to offer solutions that are incorporated into the engineering from the beginning of the project. I'm curious about the dimensions for this hilt. Have you decided on a blade size? Did I miss that by any chance?

Are you expecting to use a 1" blade or a 7/8" blade?

7/8 blade size, the emitter blade depth will be 2.62 inches.

Goth 3designs will be working with me on the Internals on this project.

We will post much more, in fact since I here let me post some stuff, now keep in mind I am doing some tweaking still.
I hope to be able to knock out the math, and figure out the details and get the Official run thread up over the next few weeks. We will probably have a 30 day window like usual to sign on and be able to get the material deposit in. It will be easier to be able to spread the cost and know how much material to order if I have a pretty accurate interest count.

Hey, no problem man. I look forward to seeing these. I know GOTH does excellent work, so this will be another fantastic piece (or two pieces as it were).

I'm interested to see what the internal diameter will be so we can determine which boards will fit inside of it.

I imagine the off hand saber will be a bit tighter than the main?

yes sir, its gonna be a challenge , especially when we make it to fit as many soundboards as we can in different variations of internal chassis systems to cover as many possibilities as we can, or rather that the sabers will accommodate.

If that made much sense? its late at night and I am currently trying to catch up on working on them.

It shouldn't be a problem to fit a Crystal Focus, Prizm, nano, igniter/spark in main hand. And more than likely a Prizm, Nano, Igniter/spark in the smaller offhand.


Of course the saber will be setup for sound, and we will have switches that will come with the sabers, so they will be ready to install or leave as a static for the guys and girls who aren't interested in functional props.

Sounds like Ryô is going to have his work cut out for him. Twice the saber means twice the chassis. Multiply that by 'x' number of board options and he will be a busy boy.

Well this new year has some good stuff in store.

We hope to do the best we can for everyone, I really do have to thank Scott Juarez from Crucible custom Props( who is known here for his blasters), Ob-shane Customs, and Goth 3designs for all the technical and design help. I couldn't do it without them, and its really a collaboration.
