Arkham Origins Project-

Shades

As many of you know, over the last year we have been working on an Arkham Batman sub dye suit with matching armor. Now that the last 3d printed master is in the mail, we have started on the new Arkham Origins design.

Here is what we are going for.

Here is where we are starting.

We are still working on how we are are going to do the leather type texture of the suit. I think we have a few ideas that will work. I hope to have a prototype done next week, and a final version a week or two after that.

I will post updates to this thread as I get them. I am looking for input to make this the best suit I possibly can.

Thanks for reading.

Test print. Dark patterns are very hard to get right. Small setting differences have a large impact. The trick is to get bat black but light enough that the detail shows.

No, it uses special paper and ink that is then steamed into the fabric to transfer the pattern.

Well, the files are off to the printer! Should have a proto this week! Very excited!

Prototype. Needs a few small shifts and some more shading but it will work.

Like my fb page for more shots of the details we put in this suit. Will gear up and snap pics soon.

Its the first proto. Had to go that light to get the leather to pop. Now we need to go back and darken the pads.

Maybe for the leather textured armor you can get some foam and cover it in that pleather material you can find at fabric and hobby stores?
