Arkham Batman sculpt.

Here I'm trying my hand on a full size cowl sculpt, I have done small statue sculpts but never a full size one so I bought a dummies head and $50 worth of clay and said what the hell so this is about 3 days of work getting the basic shape and smoothing it out. I'm gonna take my time on this in between of casting kits pouring resin parts will drive you Batty :lol, I couldn't resist Lol. I wanted to do a Dark Knight Cowl then changed my mind and went in the Arkham Batman direction if it comes out decent I may cast it to display with the Arkham Batmobile I made.

Re: Arkham Batman Cowl, fisrt full size sculpt

Looks really nice! I would imagine trying to position the other ear will be tricky to match.

Thanks Dericew shouldn't be a big deal I'll do it like how I did my small Arkham statue we'll see Lol.

I love the long eared Batman look! Kelley jones is my favourite Batman artist and he drew Batman with crazy long ears.

This is looking to be a fantastic sculpt, looking forward to seeing it finished

P.S make the ears longer :love

Thanks guys I'm good with ears length which may look slightly shorter now because I felt the top of the head was a little short and flat so I added some more to it and made the other ear and have to redo the brow detail, this thing is alot of back and forth checking if this is even with that, for less than a week on this I feel it's going in the right direction but still has a way to go.

Hi, just a quick bit of constructive criticism. I'd say 99% of it is beautiful, but i think maybe the left hand side of the chin is a little off? it seems to have too much clay, and it looks a tiny bit lob sided. But this is amazing, far better than i could ever hope to achieve :) good job

Your Right on the Chin it's crooked Lol, I need to get it straight it helps when you get a fresh pair of eyes seeing what you might have missed thanks.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE take LOTS of photos and chronicle the ENTIRE (from this point forward) molding/casting process. (If you can set up a video cam and/or have a buddy video the molding/casting process, that would be even more awesome !!) :)

No worries bro ;) if I can be of any service at all on these forums I count that as a mission accomplished :D deadly looking sculpt, dying to see this finished :)

Looks great I have tried this sculpt before and its very tedious, what type of clay are you using? Excited to see how this turns out, looks really great. Keep going!!!
