By hardcore i mean uber accurate.
I like to THINK im a prop fan/collector whatever but, in the end, i still look for as close as i can get that LOOKS good and more importantly, is AFFORDABLE.

Everything is relative but for example, if i can get a repro graflex for 80- and a real graflex for 500-, im going repro.

A Wested indy for 400- or a us wings for 80- im going wings.

Which camp are you?

Id love to go all out and get everything as authentic as i can but some of these items are just too hard or expensive for me to justify (particularly if the step down version is 'close enough' and more importantly much much cheaper).

<when ya throw in the fact that many of these props are very questionable as to what actually is the most accurate on screen as several are usually used anyway>

It does depend on the prop!

I do like idealised, when improvements can be made that enhances the look,

E.g. Metal over Resin..... Anyday!! Shiny over Dull ... You bet!!

Need all those Scratches and Dings ... (^#& no!!

Will I pay more for an Idealised version... Yep!, would I buy a cheaper version if I think it was good enough... Yep!

Will I pay big bucks for something that looks like it was dragged out of the trash compactor just becase it is screen accurate... Your dreamin!!

Sometimes the prop you see on the screen will vary from the picture you take and hold in your mind, until you see the screen version again, and you think, thats not how I remember it?

But thats just me...

I usually go for "close enough". None of my friends or family knows anything about the props, and could really care less if it's got the exact vintage greebly thing on it or not.
