I had been looking forward to this for a while. The first half of the first episode wasn't doing it much for me, but once the actual action started to happen it seemed to start to click for me. Then the second episode I found myself really enjoying.
I went and read a bit about the series after watching the first two episodes, and the creator said that the first part of the first episode was basically to show you that Gary has started to go a bit crazy after being on the ship for 5 years with no other humans to interact with, and that really does explain why the first half of that first episode seemed a bit odd.
One thing I like is that its going to be a serialized show. It seems like most other animated shows on TV these days, even the really good ones, aren't really serialized. Sure, they may have some callbacks to older episodes, or some very loosely tied together underlying plot, but for the most part you can watch one, miss three, then watch the fifth and not miss a beat at all.
Anyway...just wondering if anyone else has checked it out.
