Anyone recognise these parts on the ROTJ Vader Reveal?

Gladus63's excellent photos from the current exhibition in Paris reveal more detail on these parts.

They seem to be hollow at the back. Also they have little rods sticking out on the inside. I wondered if the little wheels on the back of the neckbrace were held between these rods. Could they be some kind of wishbone from a car model kit?

Do they look at all familiar to you model kit enthusiasts?

Yeah... I suppose so. The line is kind of blurry on this, huh?

If these ARE wishbones, I don't think they're from a car. Probably something with a heavier duty suspension. I don't recognize them....but maybe someone else might.

They almost look like the ends of the tow bars that yellow gear move aircraft around on carrier flight decks....but I don't think that's the case either. Albar have pivoting ends.
