anyone make a better chirper?

I've owned a couple of the more generic chirpers that float around. You know, the sound boards that mount under a Trek uniform behind the comm badge?

I was always impressed with the idea, but let down by the generic chirp of the things. Has there ever been a chirper with a more trekish sound? I shell out the $ for a good sounding one, that's for sure.

You might be able to do it with one of these mp3 players if it will power a small speaker.
