Anyone heard of The Jacket Maker, based in California?

I just came across a new site tonight, The Jacket Maker, anyone know about these guys?

I saw they have a Rocketeer Jacket:

However the photo looked familiar and figured out they just stole the old pictures from Abbeyshot, so watch out for these guys!!!

lol really? Well all 4 of their rocketeer jacket pictures are stolen from Abbeyshot. Wonder which other jackets are not pictures of their own products.

so you have contacted abbeyshot and know for a fact they DONT have permission to use the photo's?

Consider that in some cases they're using images of Hot Toys figures...not to mention them listing poor copies of some of our licensed jackets, I'd confidently say buyer beware.

I emailed them today to see. But as David mentioned, most of the jackets look like poor knock offs or using pictures of the originals from movie stills.

I'm sure I've seen one of the their pop ups on here. I just check their site and it looks the same but the name was the thing I recognised. I would have thought being an advertiser on here would be a seal of approval. Maybe not...Shame. FYI, I'm in the uk. Donno if the ads are targeted. Are they in the States or UK?

here's an email I got from Abbyshot today:

Hello Jeff,


Thank you for your email.


We haven't made the Rocketeer jacket in quite awhile. Unfortunately, we do not have any sewers on staff. I would like to suggest that you bring your jacket to a local tailor for advice with the buttons. Sorry, we can't help you with this matter.


We are not connected with the sites you have given us. Thank you for advising us that they are using our pictures.

So the Jacket Maker did in fact steal their pictures. So watch out for them! Also if these guys are advertising here, I hope the Mods decide to stop working with them, cause that's basically recasting and stealing some one else's work!
