Anyone attempted screen accurate USCM patches?

I've looked and looked but I've never seen any screen accurate Colonial Marines patches.
The originals had silk screened images on them with a merrowed border but the only replicas I've ever found are all embroidered.
Back in 1988 I bought what were probably the first USCM patches to hit the market from Star Tech and they too were all embroidered. Every subsequent patch was a copy of that design.
I figure with todays technology these patches could be accurately reproduced via heat sublimation printing.
Has anyone attempted these?

I believe you'll find details on the Aliens Legacy board, mate.
Dom Baldwin is a good person to start with.

I've put together a screen accurate Dropship pilot myself (USCM costuming is my first passion).

I used to believe the DS pilot was easy. However to go screen accurate a DS pilot is no small task- mostly because the flightsuit is extremely rare.

Any questions don't hesitate to ask! :thumbsup

However you should consider registering with the Aliens Legacy board:

Most all your answers should be there. And we're a friendly bunch. :)

I've been looking around for a MK11 suit. I've found some on a couple British army surplus websites but they don't state what model they are, they just show a picture of a MK11. It may be that you order one and they send you whatever they have laying around. The pictures may just be for illustrative purposes.
Hopefully I'll come across one that's in good condition, and the correct size.

"stephen210" here are the RPF did some a few years back. You may want to drop him a line and see if he has any left.

There are some subtile differences between the Mk11 and Mk14 (I own both).

The collar is probably the biggest one with pointed lapels rather than rounded ones on the Mk11.

Couple of pics-

It would be easier to find a Mk14 than a Mk11- but if you are not going screen accurate, you might as well use a common USAF flightsuit.

Nice flightsuits! I wish I could find a MK11. Well, I found 2 on Ebay.uk but one was all messed up and beat up, the other was way too small. These suits are just about as hard to find (or harder) thank the 'Alien; MK3 Nostromo jackets.
