Any update on QMX's Mal's gun?

Still, I wouldn't discount the possibility of finding a loophole or two... "film use"... "museum"... and so on. Worth looking into for those with easy access to the info.

I'm getting close to canceling mine. :unsure

Yep. I hear that. 'Bout the only thing that's making me keep it on pre-order at this point is the unconditional return policy. If it arrives and it's anything less than stellar, I'll just send it on back.

The one thing I really don't understand is why they don't give more frequent updates. Why ask everyone to contact customer service when they know everyone is wondering when these guns are going to be delivered.

Because of the "out of sight, out of mind" principle. The less often they send out an email saying that a product's been delayed for another week/month/quarter, the less reminders people have that they've been waiting how long and the better the chance a customer base won't up and cancel en masse.

The funny thing is, if you email custoemr service for an update, they just cut and paste the text from the last relevant newsletter when they reply to you. :lol

Then they might as well repost the newsletter with a more recent date.

Whine whine whine....I mean, come on, it's only been 7 months, jeez you guys are impatient....:rolleyes :lol

I remember having to wait many months after the first tv commercials were aired before I could get my hands on the oh-so-coveted (original) Luke Skywalker X-Wing Pilot.

Don't know if you guys've heard of it or not, but there's a video game called Duke Nukem Forever that's been in development for over ten years. No one knows if it'll ever be released, but the developers insist that it will be...

Pfft. 7 months is panzy ass stuff. QMX have nothing on the video game industry in regards to delaying products. Come back and see me in a couple more years and then we'll talk about delays.

(I kiiid, I kiiid.):lol

I have had to wait for pieces from sideshow and other companies. However here is the difference they never charged my credit card till the order was shipped. Which I don't believe they are supposed be doing by law. And the other companies at least gave updates.

As far as I know, no credit cards have been charged. The only people who paid up front were Paypal orders.

That's not true. I did not pay via PayPal.

My card was charged once with an $83.00 charge to secure my pre-order.

And then unknown to me until just now my card was just recently charged another $83.00 listing it as Payment #2.

I recommend anyone wanting to cancel do so immediately as their terms & conditions states you cannot cancel once you receive an "order processing" e-mail from them.

I ordered the Mal gun and I don't have any charges to date for it on my credit card & I've gotten no 'order processed' typed emails.

I think someone used the X-pay option, were the charges made on/around the 15th of the month..... ?

$249.00 / 3 payments = 83.00

I believe the last payment has the shipping added to it... so that would be $83 + 25 = $108.00 for the final payment. X-pay is a layaway type plan, so I think the legalities of billing before shipping are different. You can cancel, but I think I read its a $15 cancel fee on X-Pay

A bit OT but wasn't quite sure where to ask.

Is the gun a static piece or are there any parts that move?

So I don't understand this. QMX Steve is feeling free to answer all sorts of questions about MR. But meanwhile this thread which pertains to QMX still gets no answers.

Because I have stated here four times that QMx will not be using the RPF as a customer service department. As we noted a while ago, we would stop answering CS questions. And we did.

I know for a fact that all customer e-mails are answered within 24 to 48 hours. Sometimes within a few hours. We have an operating system in-place to address CS issues, and it isn't a prop board.

I posted in the other threads to give fellow RPFers some insight into the history of MR. Are you saying I am not allowed to post anything on the RPF because I didn't answer QMx questions?

Seriously? :confused
