Hello i am new here i happened along this site from it being mentioned at another site. but i wont mention it in case that is against rules. I have wanted to have my own Stormtrooper suit for years i always thought it would be cool to have. Well i got my first grandson and i want it before he turns 3 now so me, my son (his dad) (who also wants a suit) can take him out trick or treating. I have the pieces to make my vacumeform machine, But i need help getting started on molds. I have done alot of wood working in past but not quite making molds and i really have no experience with fiberglass. so any tips tricks or help is much appericated. Also has anyone ever seen or posted a possible step by step on some of this? My son has pointed out to me that we can buy complete suits off ebay for our size for around $300. but they come from China. Does anyone have an idea of the quality of those suits or how acurate they are? They say they are made of fiberglass. any way got my pen and notebook ready to take notes. TY all. BrutalTrooper

Check out the 501st pages, they can be very helpful, and will be able to give you some of the best info on troopers. I would recommend staying away from the Chinese company. They are cheap, but then again, that's what you get. They break/aren't fitted right/inaccurate/need heavy mods to be wearable. If you want to fork the money out, you can get a full kit for $500 ish. I think the guy is called ATA armor or something. It's been a while. Hope this helps!

As you wish

Listen to DarthMalachi, he knows exactly what you need to know. Do not buy anything from E-bay, you will be disappointed and ripped off! I am a member of the 501st visit our main site and do your research, some kits are better suited to different size people, so keep that in mind in case you are big, if so look for RT mod.

Tk560 has lots of info on his site I would recomend visiting it lots of info and blaster tutorials if you choose so. As for the suits ebay has few reputable vendors for stuff like that

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Have already found the 501st site and the 501st based Ks, Mo group site. There was already a thread started by a guy wanting info and armor like me so i read all 4 pages of his thread. They suggested kits for some size people and some for heave trooping and some for light trooping. And who to stay away from. I have the Tk560 site bookmarked been going over it for two years. Ty for the Pm with links. Some of the help links on the Ks, Mo based 501st site are broken or not up any more. I do got a question I know the differences in the helmets and gloves between ANH and ESB are there any other differences in armor? TY again guys.
