I am looking to build a fog generator that I can contain inside a costume pocket. Something that produces about the same amount of smoke as a strong pull from an ecigarette, which is likely what I would build it around. I have a clearomizer and a 510 battery adapter, but am stuck at the power and air part. Here are some similar builds:

I am not an electronics person, nor do I use ecigarettes, so this is all foreign to me. I have a soldering iron and some wire because I work on guitars, but I am not great with it.

I am looking for something that is simple to use, can be powered easily (replaceable or rechargeable batteries) and won't burn out as I hear ecigarettes can do if not controlled.

This build is almost perfect but a bit complex for me. I was thinking a switch that had enough length to be run down into the sleeve of my shirt and operated that way might be nice.

so that I can text the unit via USB, recharge it easily, and also use a wall socket to charge if needed with an added cable.

I was initially following this tutorial

But he loses me at the battery and fan. I am not electronically adept enough to change components and be sure they will work.

Anyone have any ideas?

A few years ago I worked on a medical product that use a blood pressure motor that was the size of a C size battery approximately and it ran on 12VDC I believe. They have a nipple on one end to connect to tubing. They do make some different voltages as well. Check out this site. You could use this component instead of a fan and use this to push air.

I looked at a few of those; I thought about using one if, for some reason, an aquarium pump didn't work. I saw a few 6v ones. I would have to build it into a project box, though, which is fine.
