It was just okay for me, nothing really remarkable. I did doze off briefly during one of Kang's scenes, so take that into account. I thought he was good, though. Seemed like some missed opportunities. Not much humor, and the few jokes there were fell flat (at least in my theater). Kinda missed Michael Pena - even though his character was pretty one dimensional, I always enjoy his performances. He could've helped with the humor at least.
I might be a little burnt out on movies shot entirely in front of green screen (or "led volumes" sets), or at least ones that don't vary the scenery much (especially ones that are predominantly dark). I saw it in 3D, which makes dark movies even dimmer. The 3D was also unremarkable - I can't recall anything in particular. I'd rather have movies that pushed the 3D effect more than ones that try to play it safe. At this point, I think the people going to see movies in 3D are mostly people that want more 3D effects. I know that probably costs more for the studio, or at least it requires directors that want to oversee the 3D conversion more than just slapping 3D on in order to get a few extra dollars at the box office.
