As someone who is yet to dive into costuming but desperately wants the most accurate armour possible how inaccurate is this suit? I hear people saying it's not accurate but in what ways? If money isn't an object is there a clear winner for accuracy out there?

If I had to choose in terms of accuracy, I can think of only two right now. I'd pick the unreleased EFX to be #1. But again, it isn't available. My second choice would be RS Prop master's armor.

I ended up jumping on a kit as well, and I also threw in a black officers cap, because it was essentially shipped free with the kit. I haven't mentioned anything to my girlfriend yet...

my girlfriend is 5'5", 110lbs and these are too cheap to pass up. im going to buy one for myself, but i was hoping to get your guys' input on how easy it might be to trim and modify this suit to fit my girl's small frame? ive been cosplaying and building for a while so i have pretty moderate skills. secondly, is the effort it would take to modify it still make the purchase woth it at that price?

Bought the kit. Couldn't pass up the low price. Never assembled one before so hopefully it goes alright. If it turns out to be to much for me I can always just resale it.

I'm right at 5'8" so I hope this doesn't look to bad on me since im the smaller end of its measurments.

Well my Colonial marine is going to have to wait now cos at that price theres no way i could pass it up, plus i don't mind modifying it to something a little more unique and personal without worrying about the cost

I couldn't resist the temptation any longer, and now have to watch the clock until the shipments start.

Between waiting for my armor to arrive, and for the premiere of TFA, I think thatit's going to be a looooong summer/fall.....

I meant the shipping wasn't any additional charge, the black cap was still $50! However, I've always wanted one, and since I'm now enlisted, I figured I deserved one!
