You may contact either firm. They both represent the class members.

Ah..... different firms.. BOTH handling/pairing up for the CA..

-THAT- makes more sense..

(not that they are the same firm)

The more of us we get the better off we will be. Please spread the word.

And this isn’t “revenge,” either. This is business. And this is personally sad for me... I’ve known Dana and Chris since the beginning but even now they don’t answer personal emails. And they have a friend’s money. Sad. Very sad.

Wow. Just...wow.

Wow, I just received 2 retro Star Trek t-shirts ($50 each) and 4 pins ($8.50 each) from Anovos. All six items were stuffed in a small USPS flat rate box ($9.95) and they charged me a whopping $102.21 in shipping costs. Unbelievable. The shipping cost was almost equal to the cost of the items.View attachment 1031286

The other Anovos thread says that Anovos will be at Comcon. Booth 3849? I forget. But, as long as you do not harass the poor babies you can ask them anything you want about your order or future orders.

Just keeping this thread at the top and alive as Comicon approaches. Myself, I am not in the lawsuit. Hard decision. But very honestly I feel that the only fair outcome for me is to get the product, get it in the next month, get a 50% refund in addition, and get compensated for other monies and time I have spent to last minute participate, however weakly, in events for which I was set to use what I ordered.

No lawsuit will achieve this - at least not one I am willing to pursue. Anovos will always owe me and I will always be free and able to say as much.

Just getting my money back falls way short.

And if the lawsuit kills the company first then awesome.

Let’s get more RS Propmasters t-shirts worn at their booth for Comicon. That photo was great. It was calm. It worked.

Good luck ordering items like Kylo Ren, Han Solo, Imperial Officer, Shoretrooper, Rey, etc costumes or helmets from RS. RS is great for the items they offer, but it is a pretty limited selection.

Doesn’t matter what the selection is if the company doesn’t deliver. And that’s the main problem. I have no problem actually waiting for people to get their orders completed through their production process but when it comes to delivering ANOVOS doesn’t deliver. I have been waiting for certain items for almost 2 years now and it’s ridiculous. No updates. No communication. And all I got was an email that said it’s your fault community because you wanted refunds.

And again I will constantly throw out the example of sideshow collectibles. They do pre-orders they have a specific date range and when they’re going to deliver and I have never been disappointed nor have they ever tried to just steal my money and have no communication.

Agreed. But RS makes what it knows it can handle. Doesn’t seem to have two delusional jokers calling the shots from behind cardboard.

I have no love for how Anovos does business as can be seen by my posts but I'm wondering if they were required to come out with so many products by their license with Disney. It really doesn't make any sense to keep coming out with so many new products when they can't deliver on their older products and when they first started they were doing pretty good, not great, but pretty good at getting products out. Now it seems the more products they offer the worse it gets and I didn't think from their reputation from before that Joe and Dana were stupid people so I have wondered why they keep releasing new things when they can't get what they already have out other than to get money in the pay for the older products and if that is the case it is just wrong.

From what I can tell it seems like they’re robbing Paul to pay Peter. That they’ve had so many problems with rising production costs and cancellations that I need to take pre-orders to find the orders they already had in progress.

I could be wrong that’s pure speculation I have no idea what their business model is but that would seem to make some sense.

I'll qualify the following by saying i am no expert but here's my best guess.

The licensors likely have some contractual say to make X to promote a new show or movie. How many and of what is up to Anovos. But Disney probably said "make TLJ props to push our movie... make a Rey costume or something she is our hero we'd like to push that character..." or CBS said.. "make something to promote ST: disc..." something along those lines. Anovos must comply.. and im sure there getting input from yhe Licensor branding department on what a good idea is... but Anovos should be in control of the details.. should be... are they? I dont know.

Orthogonal to that, im sure the licensors have pull or contractually stipulated that Anovos must make X units for CBS, Disney to provide at junkets, roll outs, etc. I bet Disney said you need to provide us with X umber of units of these helmets for our opening of GE.

It appears that a quasi standard/premier line TLJ trooper helmet was produced for GE as has been noted in other posts. Did Anovos provide the trooper armor for the cast members? I dont know... maybe why not...

So i bet the licensors had some say, but Anovos is responsible for overall product release / line-up and they have to control those issues internally. Did they? Was it mismanaged in a negligent way ... we dont know... that hopefully comes out through the lawsuit.

Just my 2 cents...

I very certain that they did not provide the costumes worn by the cast members. As for the product in Galaxy's Edge, Disney is the major vendor and license holder, so they can and will get their product before anyone else will.

A license is just permission to make the product. If they entered a contact it would be a different matter. If they over promised for a contract they couldn't fill, that wouldn't be surprising.

Im pretty sure they would have a licensing contract, stipulating terms of service, length of term, what the license allows them to make and other stipulations ... and what the licensor has right to, and a termination clause. You dont just pay to play.

I understand that, I wasn't implying it was that simple. I know that companies must get approval for products including warranties, terms of misuse, permission on where they can sell, what they can create within certain scopes, what the kickbacks must be, how long they can do it, when and if they can be renewed, etc. I know that some companies seek our licensees with take it or leave it style agreements, while others accept solicitation from outside sources.

However, my point was that if Disney wanted to get 1000 items, for example, for their Galaxy's Edge store, I don't believe that would be included in the original licensing agreement. That would more likely be a separate contract that acts more like a purchase agreement that a license agreement.

It is totally conceivable to me that they approached Anovos with that contract and a big paycheck and said we want this by this date and Anovos hopped on board knowing they couldn't fulfill both their responsibilities to the customer and their commitments to their newly signed contract at the same time. But it was probably a big paycheck that would be hard to turn down and risk losing the offer. That's where integrity comes into play, and I don't think the owners of Anovos have integrity or else they would be more transparent in their failures and more responsive and accommodating to their customers.

Oh, gotcha... yeah you're right that a separate contract was used for that order. That would make sense ... they may have priority rights under the licensing contract but a separate contract would be needed for actual orders.

EDITED: clarified comment

Concerning Comic Con, Art raised a very legitimate concern that Anovos booth people might be hired hands, unaware of the full “situation.” And while Joe and Dana were at Celebration with “I got to go to Skywalker Ranch” t-shirts this may not be the case this time.

However, I say that, as long as you are polite, given the precious and emotionally fragile predisposition of Anovos personnel, voice any and all concerns and questions you have.

Workers may be unaware but WE were unaware - blindsided, deceived, and are without either money or product.

So anyone working there is several steps ahead of our situation. And getting paid for it.

No sympathy.

So my 2 cents: ANY ANOVOS EMPLOYEE IS THE WHOLE COMPANY.

Just be polite and constructive if you choose to interact.

And report back to this post.
