ANOVOS issues (ANOVOS ONLY discussion)

I'm not sure if there's a thread about the new Anovos FOTK kit at 550$. But since I live in Canada and wanted it, I went to order it and it shows a shipping charge of 250$ USD with DHL.
I already received some time ago my OT TK kit, actually, 2 of them, and shipping was 78$ with USPS for BOTH kits. So I talked to Amanda in the online chat and for those who would want to know, and they stopped using USPS because of all the strikes happening here in Canada. But I clearly explained that strike or not, when they're gonna ship this in cough cough a year, they won't be in a strike anymore. So basically, they'll be adding back USPS in the mix so we can order.
I'm not sure how long the offer will stay there? or sell out. For this one, I don't mind much, I don't have any time right now to complete it but will do in a year or more so I don't have the pre-order.
Any thoughts beside the usual bitching about the kit? Another thing is that I'm 6'3" so I'm a little affraid about fitting. My AP Tk fits me fine considering but not sure about the parts on this one?

They have updated their release calendar.
Now 5 of out of the 5 things I had on order that were originally supposed to start shipping by the end of this month have now been pushed back up to 3 more months. I was really hoping they would come through on at least 1 of the items to give me a little faith. I've been really patient and am in no rush, but I have to admit finally this is getting a little troubling.
Hopefully at least 1 item will be released in October since a few of the items had "finalizing" in the text when they were describing the delay.

It was always Q3 till now, where it says "shipping now through Q4 2016".
My heart just sank big time. I ordered 5/2/2015...I may not even get it this year.
Maybe, Maybe it'll still ship in the next 4 days :unsure
If not, anyone know how quick they are with refunds?

I'd hop over to the whitearmor forums and ask those guys that have already built the Anovos kits --I think the question would more be answered around weight/body shape, IIRC I believe the height is doable. If Anovos doesn't work for you, there are other makers kits that can handle a little more around the middle if that's a concern for you.
Ugh, im in the same boat, I have 2 items that were both Q3, I spoke with Anovos on their little chat thing a couple of times confirming that it was on track. I do remember the last time it was pushed back was also in the last couple of days of the Q.
The idea of a refund seems more appealing, the cynic in me thinks these are probably going to be another 6 months before they are in hand though I feel that i'm too far down the line, 18 months since I ordered them.

I have a question for those of you who have outstanding orders with Anovos: When you log in to your account info, do you see information on the order that is still pending? Although I have an order confirmation email from June 2014, I don't see anything on my account that confirms it. Anyone else?

I see my Han Solo rig with a status of "unfulfilled", which is correct on many levels.
Yes. My Vader Ensemble order shows unfulfilled. I contacted Anovos through the online chat this afternoon in regards to being charged tax on the shipping. They stated that they would send a new invoice without the taxes.

Yes, you are supposed to pay tax on shipping and handling charges in most states (not all of them, not sure which one, mine does). You are also supposed to pay tax on every item you get online even when you aren't charged tax (use tax) but a lot of people don't know that.

If I remember correctly, there was a change in their systems last year. Something about a new account system, so it might just be that your order isn't showing up on your account because of that... I would try the chat thing on their website to try to sort it out.

If by whining and complaining you mean "cold hard truth", then yes, I could see that. It would be very unprofessional so it goes right along with the rest of their business model.

I think you might be right. I looked back at my confirmation email and it used a different email address. I tried to see if I had a second account and that old one is not recognized. So most likely it got lost in the shuffle when I had to had to make the new account after the website transition.
I'll try doing the chat when they come online.
Cool, maybe I'll get a shipping notification soon!
